About this item

  • Heel activated: for percussionists who prefer to play their Cajon pedal with their heel, This pedal can be played with either a heel or toe motion
  • For right or left footed playing: with a few easy adjustments, The pedal can be modified for right or left footed players
  • Adjustable cam and springs: The adjustable cam and springs allow you to fine tune the action of your pedal so that you get the right speed and power for your taste
  • Soft foam beater: Mein Cajon pedals are equipped with a special soft foam beater that effectively pulls out round and thump bass tones from your Cajon
  • Reliable Spurs and mount: a Cradle-like mount will hold your Cajon in place while threaded Spurs dig in to prevent slippage (fits up to 12 1/4" Depth)

The mainly direct drive heel activated Cajon pedal will attach firmly to any common sized Cajon via a cradle-like mount. This simple design is easily playable with your heel, but can also work with your toes, leaving your hands completely unrestricted. Great for keeping steady bass drum rhythms with your foot while playing grooves with your hands. Constructed with a heavy duty metal ground plate and metal foot bar. The soft foam beater is designed specifically to get a deep bass sound from any Cajon.

Bonjour,concernant cette pédale cajon meint percussion,je dois dire que j'étais sceptique.Mais finalement après avoir longtemps douté j'ai franchi le pas et je dois dire que j'ai été agréablement surpris.Materiel près à l'emploi,le ressort au top,bonne robustesse et joli design.Simplicité d'emploi.pas de clé de serrage?Pour le reste,un peu de pratique pour jouer du talon.Très content de cet achat;

I bought this for a Meinl Sierra Birch Cajon, which is 15 in. deep. The pedal is solid, very well built, but was too long for my cajon! I estimate the minimum depth for your cajon is ~18 in. If your cajon fits, this would be an awesome addition to your gear.

I liked that this is a sturdy unit. The finish looks great.It was wide enough to accommodate my Pearl Cajon. My Cajon is about 12.5” to 13” deep.It is a chain drive. Solid like most meinl products.The angle of the beater is adjustable. The whole unit is adjustable as well -pressure/distance.The unit does slide a bit but perhaps that is to be expected playing on hardwood vs carpet. I’m sure a little rug can solve that issue.it does take some time to get use to the bar vs a pedal. But for the price and the build quality it’s not an issue for me.

Seemed very durable but didn't fit our cajun so had to return it. Return was very easy and credit was issued fast.

I can’t get it to stay locked In place long enough to finish a song. I own both of the direct drive cajon pedals and they both have the same ridiculous flaw. They clamp onto the cajon cradle using a clamp and a flat piece of metal with VELCRO on it in a weak attempt to increase traction. Normal drum pedals clamp around a metal lip on the rim of the bass drum, which easily locks it in to place without a need to even clamp too hard. If only there was a metal lip for the clamp to lock around I would absolutely love this pedal. I can already tell the clamp will fail in no time because I have to tighten it waaaay harder than it’s designed for. I’m returning this pedal but it’s too late for me to return the other. Soooo disappointed with this dumb design flaw.

Was tough at first to get used to, but I bought a drum key ($3) and adjusted the pedal to how I wanted to play it and then it was much easier to use afterwards. I love playing this thing along with my cajon, they add so much presence to my performance! Also, the angled pedal gives you flexibility to use a high step or low step to activate the kick.

I think this product was a good idea but the implementation for whatever reason doesn't seem to work very well for body proportions.... which is odd because I am fairly average at 6 ft, 170 lbs. Anyway your position it just seems kind of awkward. It works, but I suspect the other design with an actual kick pedal would be superior.
