I'm really surprised by all the people who have written that this product looks "beautiful." Not to me--it looks cheap. We're going to paint it and hope for the best. I especially don't recommend ordering it if you haven't seen it first, because you might be disappointed.

IMHO, this cover & Box bracket were under-engineered. Beautiful to look at but FLIMSY. Had to augment the mounting screws with extras to make more solid mount for mail box and secure the cover to the 4x4 post. Three holes were a joke! I think it is overpriced by at least $25! This cover should require six holes in back; two at bottom, two in center, and two at top. Then, the bracket should require at least six screws to attach to post. They should let me write the installation instructions! I'd show buyers how to make a SOLID installation! As received, the whole thing was very rickety. It didn't have to be, but it was.

Looks beautiful, minimal challenges installing, had to shave the corners of the 4x4 to get the post all the way on. Installed with an extra-large mailbox instead of a standard one and it still looks good, does not look unbalanced. The arm is a little shaky like the other reviews say but even with an extra-large mailbox I'm not concerned with it deteriorating or breaking over time.

I love the color, it goes very well with the copper tone of the mail box I purchased along with this post. Easy to install. Down side would be the strength of the arm that holds the box. It doesn't seem to have much horizontal strength.

Good quality product. Fit 4x4 post perfectly. Instructions were complete and concise. I agree with some of the other reviews that the mailbox ledge is a little wobbly but since it is fastened into the 4x4 post it should be fine. The mail carrier loves it. Glad I ordered the beige. It looks nice.

Product came exactly as shown. Simply place it over a 4x4 and screw it into the post. Only negative is that after placing the metal mailbox on the post, the arm with the mailbox was a bit wobbly (my own feelings). Thus I did use an additional screw, provided by myself, and secured the arm into the 4x4 in order to resolve that issue. Otherwise the post has added some significant class to the front of our home with regards to curb appeal. Best part about this product...I'll never have to deal with rotted wood, paint or rusting metal ever again!

As has been mentioned, the arm on this thing is just not up to par. I wouldn't recommend putting anything but a lightweight plastic mailbox on this thing, which kind of defeats the purpose of having a nice looking post. The 2x4 that comes with it that inserts in the arm is a couple inches short of reaching the post (and it's not pressure treated either). So I actually inserted my own pressure treated 2x4 that reaches all the way to the post. I don't think it helped much. I even bolted the back of the mailbox to the post. It still wobbles on the arm every time I open the mailbox. Very disappointing.

This mailbox is beautiful. We went from having the worst looking mailbox on the block to having the BEST looking mailbox on the block. Installed as described, no complications. I love that is is made of durable plastic but doesn't look like cheapy plastic or a like the plastic that is used for outdoor kids toys. When driving down the street, it looks like it was made of wood. Shipping was quick and efficient. Also we were looking to buy a different style mailbox (also listed online) because they were cheaper, but I am so glad we "splurged" on this one. I have seen those cheaper styles in the neighborhood and they don't even compare. As something that makes a first impression about us and our home it is worth the extra investment.
