Sturdy. Does not vibrate or move down a table. Worked well for a few years. Then the letters weren’t being opened consistently. Then it froze and nothing I did helped. It looked normal. I opened the case but had no luck fixing it. I am a bit steamed because it was expensive and had a good name. It looks and feels great, the weight of it, and I don’t want to throw it away. But I should.

Dream come true. I got a thought that SURELY someone had invented a sturdy, one handed electric letter opener. I wanted it to open and recyclejunk mail at home.It is so satisfying to run an envelope thru this machine and have it come out ready to sort, shread or pay. There are times when part of the top of envelopes are not completely open but that is usually due to how I am feeding it thru the machine.It took some time to get used to pressing the envelope into the machine to get it to run correctly. There is an arrow pointing towards the machine that means "press the envelope towards the machine". Again, the pressure is the key.It feels sturdy in an unsturdy world and I like that. Thank you.

The office has been using this for several weeks now and absolutely no problem. We open around 150 envelopes a day. Does exactly what it's supposed to do.

Although it is a little loud, it does the job quite well once you figure out that you should let the envelop go through without trying to guide it. I open around 400 envelopes a week at the office and it has saved me a lot of time not having to use the traditional, hand letter opener. Would certainly recommend it.

Being an amputee I tend to fall behind on getting my mail opened, this is very helpful for me because I don't have to wait on anyone I can do it myself now

The product seems to work well. Letters are opened quickly and cleanly.Seller claims to be Canadian, but product was shipped from the USA very slowly and caused an additional $33 customs and import charge.

Makes open the tons of mail I receive a breeze, best of all - no paper cuts! Be sure to read in full the manual and how to "tap down" the envelope contents and you're off and running. Keeps mail from piling up from having to do it by hand. Don't overuse though (ie 10 solid minutes at a time) as you'll burn the the gears and machine out. Price was incredible!

Worst product I have ever bought from amazon.com. It's embarassing that they would even sell this item. The first time I used it, it brought laughter from from my office staff as it was frightingly noisey and only opened half of the envelope flaps leaving me to use a scissor to open the other half of the uncut envelope flaps. I oiled the gears 4 times but it still makes this horrific sound when in use and its performance still does not open the envelopes completely after 6 months. Many times now it won't even cut any of the flaps even after passing the letters through 3 or 4 toimes. For a cost of nearly $100.00 do not waste your money or time here buy a $2.00 scissor instead it works better.
