Maple Finish Letter Opener. For opening envelops or general mail. Not sharp like a knife. Simply slide the pointy tip of the opener under the lip of the envelope and slide the opener easily along until it conveniently opens the letter. Done carefully, the envelope is opened without damaging the letter or contents of the envelope. The blade has a teardrop shape. The handle is smooth and is easy and comfortable to hold. The blade is just over 3 1/2 inches. The total length is just over 6 inches.

This letter opener is for appearances only. The blade is short and the edges are not sharp, so if you have to open a lot of letters, it is not efficient at all. A knife or scissor blade would be a much better option. I have to open stacks of certified letters that have a slightly thicker paper fold where the green card is, this opener fails miserably every time, resulting in jagged rips and tears.

Love the way the blade slices through an envelope. Very precise and opens first try.

For the price point this is a great little letter opener. I've needed one for a long time and this one is perfect

It was shorter than I was expecting and is not particularly comfortable to use.

This opens letters as expected.Very small which is ok because itfits in hand very well and in mypen holder on kitchen table.Thicker but not as long as a pen.

The blade came at a bit of an angle, but I just bent it back a bit and fixed it. It's a little smaller than I expected, but it's still perfectly usable. Quite adept at opening letters.
