We ran into issues too many times with our dogs getting off their tie out, so I came on here to find something that I could trust. I was hesitant to spend nearly $11 on something small like this, but we had a close call with one of our dogs nearly getting hit by a car, so I was desperate for something we would not have to worry about.I bought this in December of 2018. It is now February of 2021 and it's still in fantastic condition. It looks beat up of course because it's used daily, but the gate and twist mechanisms still work like the day we got it. We have never had it fail or had any worry of it not working as expected.Safe puppers and happy customer!

Not too much to say about a caribener but here it goes. It's metal. It works. It's pretty light. The gate it strong. Feels quality. Sometimes I take it to the movies with me because it really likes to get out of the house. Mostly comedies. I just clip it to my bag & we don't need to buy an extra ticket. Pretty sneaky. I think you'll like it if you get one. Just never feed it after midnight & don't get it wet!

I use this for a key chain attachment to keep my keys secure. I started doing this about 2 years ago with an inexpensive aluminum carabiner that was made to only hold keys. After the spring started to weaken, the clip dis not secure well enough to hold my keys on. So, I knee it was time for an upgrade. I always hated reading the statement stamped into the side if the carabiner key chain, "NOT FOR CLIMBING." When I started shopping for a new carabiner in knew that I wanted it to be a genuine carabiner that I could use to climb with if needed ( you never know when your going to find yourself in a situation where a carabiner is necessary). After reading reviews and comparing prices, I decided that the Mad Rock met all of my needs and was affordable. So far this carabiner has worked great for my intended purpose and thankfully I have not needed it for any emergency climbing situations yet.

Note: I have NOT USED THIS FOR ROCK CLIMBING AS OF YET.I bought this as a replacement for a somewhat smaller key ring I had before. I have a lot of keys and utility knives I store on me, so I need a lot of space and heavy duty devices to hold them. It is very sturdy. I have had no issues with the clip, the weight capacity, or the screw device that closes it and seals it. It's very durable.I have also used it to carry 17 bags of groceries up 2 stories because I didn't feel like making a second trip. (Yes, I'm being serious.)

Bought one of these to try as a cheaper alternative to the Petzl Spirit. It looked good on paper, and functions ok. But in a side-by-side comparison this one is rougher, slightly heavier, and the gate doesn't open as far. It's ok, but I won't buy more.

I've never actually had my pockets picked, but now I have the comfort of knowing that I absolutely never will. This thing is so freaking cool. The gate opens smoothly and has a strong spring action. The lock is totally functional. Also, the part of me that hates things that don't actually serve their intended purpose is satisfied. I can now look at my carabiner without seeing that inferior "not for climbing" stamp. It should be noted that I don't actually use this for climbing. I use this as an extremely manly key-holder. Not only does it hold my keys, but it might come in handy one day when I need to hook up a tow cable to my car.Don't be a victim, don't feel inferior... buy a Mad Rock. :)

This is a great Carabiner. I love the screw lock keeps my keys 100% safe. It is a little large for keychain use, but this is a real carabiner not a cheap miniaturized keychain clone. If you are looking for a compact model for a keychain you may want to look elsewhere. While it is on the large size it is no longer than my car key so it is in the realm of manageable in the pocket. I tend to wear jeans a lot so they fit in my pocket well and can also clamp to a belt loop if I need them to stay secure during activity. If you are big on keychain addons, this has enough room to support a lot. It has a nice look too. I kinda like the fist grip I can use on the back of the carabiner in my pocket to pull out my keys.

I use it as a keyring, not for climbing. It is somewhat heavy, but not overly so. It is large for a keyring. The locking mechanism is good. The paint/enamel is very good. I have opened bottles against the flat parts, and they did not break the finish (for a while, eventually they did).
