Solid LP product. Using it on a foot pedal set up. Maybe because it’s on the floor and not as close as when played in hand that it isn’t as loud. I would buy it again.

Just recently added this to my kit. About as loud as an 8" splash with a nice low jingle. Excellent accent. I put it next to my right ride cymbal with five other varing sized splash cymbals and second hihat.

This tambourine was exactly as described. It is well built and plays well.

This is the best thing since sliced bread. There are loud but you can play them in any genre of music. They attach to 3/8in rod.I personally play them with the white steel cyclops mountable tambourine.

I use this often as it responds well to a drum stick. It's quite easy to set up and the sound is very good. I've got no complaints about it.

Brass dimpled jingles provide an excellent sound for middle eastern music. Really exquisite. I would highly recommend for anyone who is seeking a rich, warm sound. If playing by hand get a style with handle. The mountable one would probably be hard on the hand after long periods of play. Mountable one perfect for quick the quick switches that I need.

Not much to say other than this sounds great and the build quality is exceptional. I KINDA wish they had a rubber hit-strip across the top since hitting the plastic with a stick definitely sounds like a stick hitting plastic. But overall, amazing and I would definitely buy again.

Great sonority. Cuts through the mix. I purchased the mountable version to replace the handheld one that I sold to the singer in my band who was blown away by the Cyclops ergonomic design and distinctive timbre. Instead of just replacing like for like, the mountable version allows me the flexibility for handheld (though not as comfortable) and set applications. And at the price I paid for this quality LP instrument, a great deal for sure!

I've used a lot of different hand percussion instruments over the decades and have several tambourine products for my drum kit, three of them being mountable. When I compared the LP Cyclops series tambourines to other brands, it was the clear cut winner to my ear. In fact there was a noticeable difference in the quality of the LP tone from other brands. I selected the dimpled brass model because I wanted a slightly higher tone (than the traditional steel LP160 model) and a little more focused (than the standard brass LP175 model). This model is higher pitched than the steel LP160 model. If you're only going to have one tambourine in your arsenal I'd highly recommend taking a hard look and listen at the steel LP160. I think you would be hard pressed to find a better all-around tambourine than the LP160. But if you're looking for a higher and tighter pitch then the LP179 dimpled brass may be your perfect solution.
