The membrane of the drumskin is very thin, and the wood is very light, but you kind of want that in a tambourine. I already have a green one, because my parents were hippies, but it is just a cymbal one, this one offers that beautiful resonance that you can't get from just cymbals. It's perfect for music, choral singing, revivals, and so on.

You have to be gentle when knocking this tambourine.Sound is not so good and not very durable it's suitable for kids not adults.
