Could have included some basic instructions, but I knew what to do thanks to the very helpful review by K.T.O. There is a small hole in the business end of each button which the seller is apparently too shy to have on display on this page - smaller than the metal peg to which they should attach, but as directed I gave said peg a blast with one of those wee kitchen blowtorch things you use for caramelisation (I gave it about 15 seconds I think), and the button went on just fine and is now a good solid fit. If this sounds laborious, I guess the hole is so you don't end up having to do the equivalent of pushing a nail into a wall with just your thumb. I didn't expect much here but bought this product because it seemed cheap enough to be worth a punt, and I'm very pleased with the result.

These are identical to my 2002 Epiphone Les Paul Standard buttons. Color, pattern and feel are exact. Easy, quick install. Heat the tuner stem with a lighter/torch or soldering iron for a few seconds and then push the new button on. Do not twist! Let it cool a minute and your done. Make sure to measure the depth of the other buttons to match how far you need to push them on and mark with a Sharpie. These are quality buttons!

Says right on the site the picture is wrong and there are screw holes. there are not. Cut and pasted from site:Notice: There is a gap between the picture and the real thing. There is no screw hole on the top of the tuning button in the picture, but our product has screw holes. Please read the product description carefully before purchasing, and if it is acceptable, then make a purchase.i will not drive over 20 miles round trip to return this. the gas would cost more than item. get it together lovermusic...edit; a few weeks later: they've removed the blurb from the site. one might think someone might contact me from the seller. guess not.
