LOCTITE Threadlocker 290 is a low viscosity wicking grade, green, threadlocking liquid that wicks along the threads of pre-assembled fasteners to secure them in place. Since it is applied after assembly, preventive maintenance procedures are simplified. Ideal for fasteners ranging from #2 to 1/2" (2.2mm to 12mm) in size. Localized heating and hand tools are needed for disassembly.
LOCTITE 290 is a liquid medium/high-strength threadlocker designed for the locking and sealing of threaded fasteners. Because of its low viscosity and capillary action, the product wicks between engaged threads and eliminates the need for disassembly prior to application. The product cures when confined in the absence of air between close-fitting metal surfaces and prevents loosening and leakage due to shock and vibration. The product can also fill porosities in welds, castings, and powdered metal parts.
MILITARY GRADE ADHESION
This high-strength thread locker is tested to the lot requirements of Military Specification Mil-S-46163A. MIL-SPEC (Military standard or Military-SPEC) adhesive are products that meet or exceed the US defense standard, a measure of quality set to standardize the expectations of all products supplied to the US Military. Each lot is also tested by the ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials), a body of skilled personnel that specializes in testing materials and generating standards of quality.

I used this product on the screws/nuts on my daybed. It works great and now my daybed is strong and doesn’t wiggle with use. You need to wait the 24 hours for the Loctite to cure. I purchased this type of Loctite because the screws/nuts were upside down on the frame so I needed the Loctite to flow down and seal the nut/bolt.

I use this stuff on everything, the thin green liquid will acually wick into threads while the fasteners are tight. When it comes tim to remove, you can still do it with handtools and doesnt require destruction to loosen the fastener.I received the order from the shipper very promptly.

Just tighten up the nut on the bolt and put a drop of green loctite on the bolt and it will penetrate and hold the nut in place.

Use to lock sleeves on Chinese small shank cnc end mills. Holds very well and needs heat to release.
