I was sceptical buying this hose wondering if it would work. I connected it up to a 2L plastic bottle from aldi and hasn't leaked (had to remove the plastic ring the cap connects onto) and also the bottle doesn't collapse on its self as some others have mentioned. So good I have bought another for my partner for when we go hiking. No plastic/chemical taste either which other reviews had noted. Brilliant product 5 stars.

I tried to pierce the valve in the bite tube a little to increase its diameter so that the 'draw' of water up into the tube would be easier. But it was still too darn difficult to try to suck. My cheeks are still collapsed from the attempt. lol The reviews warn of this, yet I still bought it. Live and learn. I couldn't return it because I had doctored it, so in the trash it went.

Took this on the trail with me. Used a regular screw top water bottle bought at the store and refilled. This screwed on to the top and the 'straw' extends to various lengths to accommodate different sized water bottles. Sucking mechanism works well and never had one drip come out of it or leak at all. Highly recommend and bought two more to give to my hiking buddies. Nice to not need to use a water bladder... they seem to be very expensive and often leak. Perfect for the trail!

The product is easy to use and fits the Smart Water bottle perfectly. I purchased it a month ago to take with me on a backpacking trip on PCT. I washed it thoroughly before I left. It was fine at the beginning but after a few days on the trail it started to have a strong plastic/chemical taste, to the point that I couldn’t use it anymore. I ended up drinking directly out of the bottle. I guess it is good for a short hiking trip or day hikes but doesn’t work well for long distance backpacking.

This handy smart water bottle adapter works great for water or electrolytes. The smart water bottle sits in the side pouch of my day pack or backpack & I don’t have remove the bottle to get a drink. It’s a nice hands free system. The bite valve could be improved. The liquid doesn’t flow as easily as Platypus or Camelbak bite valves. When backpacking I use the smart water bottle for electrolytes & a Platypus bladder for water.

I bought this because I wanted to switch from water bladder in pack to water bottles on the side of my pack. It works great! The locking mouthpiece helps you avoid getting everything wet accidentally from putting your pack down the wrong way or sitting on the mouth piece by accident. The quick connect hose is great for when you want to refill. My only issue is that the little air intake valve wasn’t properly seated I guess because it fell out on my first hike and now whenever I bend over or set my pack down in anything but a vertical orientation, water squirts out of the valve opening. I’ve been looking for a way to contact Lixada to see if I can get another valve but so far I haven’t been able. So other than the missing air intake valve, it’s a pretty decent product. One thing I will tell people who want to use this system is that although it works on Smart Water bottles and other disposable bottles, if you have a full pack, the bottle gets squished and you lose water. I’m going to look for a light weight hard sided bottle to use this with in the future.

This hydration tube was exactly what I wanted. It fits a Smart Water bottle perfectly. I was doubtful about the clip to hold it in place, until I went hiking with it. The clip has little nibs on the inside of it which really grip the material you clip it onto. I was skeptical of the magnet as well, but that little thing was strong! I didn't have to get the mouthpiece right on it, only close to it and it snapped right on.The only negative thing I found was that the water from the tube at first had a strange taste, which is true of almost all drinking tubes I have used. If you run water through it for a few minutes first, that taste will go away.I was very pleased with this purpose and enjoyed using the product while hiking.

Arrived 10days earlier than stated when ordering - WIN!When I ordered this I felt like I was taking a punt.I’ve been looking for this solution for a long time and have been amazed it’s been so hard to find. I didn’t think this simple product would be THIS perfect for my needs. I hike a tonne , camel bags are just paying to hate yourself . Water bottles perfect but too much messing around to actually get the bottle out on trail. Stopping to grab a sip can break the flow of a hike, and usually leads to under hydration overall.When ordering - I had a concern the straw that reached into the bottle wouldn’t be long enough to work with the 1.5ltr bottles I carry when hiking. As can be seen in the picture attached - it reaches comfortably . The straw can also be adjusted by pushing it in or pulling it out to suit your bottle size.Surprising well made .Does NOT leakEasy to clean as it’s just a tube and not a full Camel bag.The little carry pouch is decent to store when dry and not in useThe little magnet clip is super strong and works perfectly.NOTES BEFORE YOU ORDER -1- the cap that connects to the bottle will NOT fit narrower topped bottles. For example 500ml bottle won’t fit. A 1.5lt Harrogate spa bottle will NOT fit. The bottle in the pictures is a 1.5ltr Buxton. In this use the cal fits perfectly and does not leak at all.2 - the mouth piece where you draw the water from is very comfortable and a soft rubber/plastic.However it requires a fair bit of force to suck the water through - like some camel bags it could be a little tough to suck thee water through for some users. I haven’t seen any issues in my own use - but worth considering if it’s relevant to you.

Plenty of hose and easy to cut to desired length. The magnet clip works well. Just squeeze the mouthpiece every now and then to let air back into my he bottle/clear the vacuum (no need to disassemble!!) Enough straw for 700ml or 1L smart water bottle. Perfect for backpacking when you don’t want to mess with filling a bladder (and avoids potential leaks!) it’s the dream hydration system I’ve always wanted for long backpacking trips without messing around with an internal hydration bladder. Can use in front strap water pocket or side pack pocket —which is how I used it.

This adapter doesn't work as well as I expected, at all. The tube makes water taste AWFUL. It's like drinking out of a tire.The bite valve is awkward and hard to activate and the on-off valve twists too easily so it comes undone on its own and locks on its own when you're trying to drink from it. The lid area doesn't have a pressure valve to prevent a vacuum in the bottle. The suction builds up quickly and it's very hard to get anything out. I had to unscrew the top a little to let air in, so water can spill out, which makes this impractical if you need to lean over, like on a bike. (There's no spinning collar on the lid so you have to twist the bottle around to tighten or loosen the top, very irritating. So you can't easily remove or replace the lid when the bottle is in a pocket.) I tried to blow air into the bottle through the tube, but the tube fills with air and the bottle doesn't. So the next drink is just air.I didn't realize how much gravity helped with regular bladder systems. The straw is at the bottom and the water pushes itself out. This system doesn't have that. I tried removing the inner straw and flipping the bottle upside-down, but the tube is too flexible and it crimped shut instead of bending. Plus it wasn't long enough to reach the bottom of the water bottle pocket.I tried to mix and match this set with other bladder system parts to fix some of the issues but the sizes were all different.Also the set comes with a long tube and an inner straw that slides up into the tube. There weren't any directions and the inner straw was pushed totally up into the tube so I didn't see it and thought it was missing. This straw makes the set adjustable for different bottle heights; you just pull it out more or push it back in to get the right height. It tends to hit the bottom perfectly flat even when I shorten it. It should probably be trimmed at an angle or clipped in a V to avoid that.

I was so hopeful that this would be all that it says it is! However, it is not! I could not get any suction! I hike a lot and a water bladder takes up space in my backpack, while this would have been a perfect solution! The place where the tube attaches to the water bottle is the problem area....no suction! Very disappointed?!

Simple to use. Easy to stay hydrated on the trail. Stop trying to reach for that water bottle in the side pocket of your pack. No more water bags to load into your backpack. No risk of reservoir breakage or leaks inside your backpack. Love this creation! Works perfect on a 500 cc bottle or 1 liter bottle!
