This is an excellent addition to any backpackers kit. Stores extremely flat, takes up almost no room in your pack. The stove works well, really couldn’t ask for more. Edges are a little sharp, but a dremmel fixed that no problem.

I had to up my game a little bit As far as a Trail stove goes The little one worked fine when it was me And then It was me and a dog it was kind of pushing it Now I've got two dogs and we had to up things a little bit size wise. It has absolutely no problem handling my 64 ounce mucket And I can't see why it can't hold something Up to a gallon in size. It's considerably larger than the small one person job. My little one gave 5 years of regular Consistent use And was still in great shape when I gave it to a friend of mine To put in her backpack I can't see why this one Won't give the same kind of service life

This the "Large" model. It is easy to put together.Remember to pull of the blue plastic, before you start a fire in it.Burning that plastic will create toxic fumes. It is simple to put together, and simple to run.The great part is how easy it is to use !!!Remember to process wood so that it will fit in the stove.

Long story short, we got to our camp location with the wrong connectors for our 2 burner camp stove. We had this on hand as our backup (we had used it a handful of times in the past, with equally great success). Using just easily gathered sticks, we were able to boil water for pasta in about 5 minutes. A BIG pot - with about a gallon of water. Cooked our pasta, then heated the sauce, then heated wash water. It did take one person constantly gathering fuel for that boiling time. But I have several kids, and they traded off the task and it was almost a game to make sure we were getting more fuel before the fire burned down. That was just the first night. We decided to not run out and buy a whole new camp stove. We made do with this handy little stove all week! We had it burning in either the fire pit or the BBQ pit. It does a great job of allowing the right amount of air in to keep the fire going. I have used this backpacking too, and that also worked great! I'm buying another for my kids' BSA troop, as a backup.

False advertising in my opinion. Folding means it is one piece that collapses down and then expands back to full size without requiring disassembly and reassembly every time. This is NOT a folding stove. It can be disassembled to flat, but then will need to be reassembled to use again. And it is somewhat of a pain to assemble, and requires slight bending of the tabs to assemble - which will eventually then fail.So only 3 stars from me. Low cost and fairly sturdy, but NOT A FOLDING stove.

I had a look at a lot of these before buying this one based on reviews, and I'm glad I got this one.I've had a couple of trips out using it,and it works as it's meant to-is very stable, and easy to carry, and also cleans very well when used.I've cooked some noodles and mushrooms in billy cans on it,and used it to cook using a larger frying pan-with better results than my electric oven, really!.The slats of metal that go in the top mean you can rest very sizeable,or quite small camping cups on it,and it's very stable.Goes together very easily, and folds away, and is put in its case very easily.A must have for bushcraft, either as your main firestove,or as a separate one for boiling water,or cooking next to your main fire. The heat from it with some decent wood is excellent, and the large space in the side makes it easy to top up wood.Be sure to have plenty, because it burns so well that you can get through 'basic' shop bought wood quite quickly.Absolutely love it,and easy for having 'discreet' fires,too...

I used this over the weekend for boiling water for freeze dried meals. Assembles in a snap, and does it's job in a no fuss way. Small twigs and whatever other detritus lying about is all the fuel you need to get the job done. The open side allows for simple feeding of the fire. It seems very sturdy. The water heated quicker than I might have anticipated, which was pleasing. I purchased a stainless steel mesh screen to use as a small impromptu grilling surface, which I haven't used yet, but has the potential to be a very handy addition, and it fits neatly in the stove's included storage pouch. About the only complaint I can lodge against it is, while it assembles easily, getting it to come apart is a bit more fiddly. Care should be taken not to cut yourself on the edges when you're trying to get the the tabs to release from each other.

Don't let it fool you, when comparing the cheaper price of this stove to the more expensive EmberLit and CampMate stoves, this wood burner by Lixada is just as good, if not better because of the price. It comes in a nice, black carrying case that can easily fit some matches or a lighter inside. The protective covering over the stainless pieces is very easy to take off; absolutely no area had residue from the removed adhesive. The first thing that I noticed though was how heavy this stove is when it's folded up. It shocked me to realize the true weight of this stove, especially when it looks so light in the pictures. When assembled, this thing is a rock. The sturdiness of this stove makes it worth carrying the extra weight. It could probably be sat on and still not collapse under the pressure. The air holes on the sides and bottom of the pan create a fire that burns amazingly hot and fast. I was able to bring 500ml of water to a boil in less then 4 minutes. That's crazy fast! The crossmember on the top where the pot is rested can fit anything from a solo mug to a cast iron skillet. This stove is great for backpacking, but being on the heavier side, I wouldn't recommend this for someone trying to go ultralight...but I would absolutely recommend this for anyone who camps and doesn't want to keep buying fool, as it's free in the woods.I took one star off just because of the weight, but it's still better then spending over 70$ on a titanium stove of the same design.
