This unit feels kind of cheaply made, but it works just fine and the price is very reasonable. Just be sure before your order ships what's included. This model is sold by several different sellers, and the one I received had the front bezel missing. I had to contact the seller and get them to ship one out for me. It wouldn't have been an issue if I were ordering this for a laptop, as they generally have custom bezels to mach the laptop's trim. Since I was using this in an HTPC I was building, however, it was kind of annoying to have to wait three additional days for the missing piece.

J'ai acheté ce lecteur/graveur DVD pour le mettre dans mon boîtier Antec ISK-600 afin de ripper ma collection de CDs audio en FLAC sur mon NAS.Première galère et chose que je ne savais pas avant de le monter, c'est que pour le monter il a fallu que je le visse que d'un côté, car en vissant de l'autre côté, cela bloquait le tiroir, donc impossible de mettre ou enlever un CD, pas très grave le lecteur tenait quand même bien.Ensuite, le tiroir est maintenu par des rails en plastique au lieu de rails en aluminium, le tout ne semble pas très solide.De plus, certains CDs audio de ma collection ne sont pas lu par ce lecteur (ex: des CDs édités par Warner Music).Et enfin, en cherchant à voir si cela ne venait pas du firmware du lecteur, j'ai cherché à le mettre à jour, mais sachant que le lecteur est vu comme "Slimtype DVD A DS8A9SH" par le système d'exploitation, aucune possibilité de mettre le firmware à jour avec des mises à jour OEM comme celles de Lenovo ou Dell, les firmwares de base étant différents.

I retro fitted this drive to fit in an itx case (raidmax)r .I installed it in an old dvd 5 and 1/4 drive cage.,with an optical drive dapter.The result worked just fine and does'nt look bad at all.

I bought this product as a replacement for a slimline DVD reader so that I could also burn DVDs. It was a perfect fit mechanically for my computer, but I bought a power lead with it because my original power lead would not reach the power socket on the device. This power lead effectively reversed the + and - terminals and reverse biassed the drive. Fortunately, my power unit would not start up under these conditions and so the drive survived. Once I reversed the connections all worked fine. Delivery and packing were excellent.

I bought this to use in my new compact gaming computer. Its quiet and loads up fast. It plays CDs and DVDs both. I am satisfied with it.

Zufrieden!Tut was es soll in einem aktuellen OpenELEC-HTPC. Hin und wieder vllt. etwas laut für manche, mich hat es aber bisher nicht gestört. Kann ich empfehlen!
