I take some pictures of jewelry I made and other items for a blog, and I have a Limo Studio lighting setup. Well, my dog takes an interest whenever I am taking photos and she knocked over one of my lamps. That shattered bulb number 1. (Yes, I know these are CFLs and contain mercury. Nothing I can do about that after the fact.) Then *I* tripped over a lamp cord and shattered bulb number 2. At this point, I was left with only one bulb, which led to very uneven lighting and poor photos. Luckily, I found this replacement bulb online.If you have one of the Limo Studio lighting kits, this replacement bulb is the exact same thing as what comes with the kit. So if you are looking for balanced, even, multidirectional lighting, just put this in your fixture along with your other bulbs from the same company and it will be fine.This is a bright white kind of light (not the yellow tinged stuff you sometimes see with CFLs) and excellent for photography. The bulb fits into a standard socket. Do note that these are rather large compared to CFLs intended for home lighting use (in terms of length) and they can run a little hot.Because these are CFLs, you should recycle them instead of putting them in the trash (if you can; breakage can sometimes not be avoided). Battery/bulb stores and the big box home improvement store with an orange logo both take these for recycling. Some municipal facilities also might.Anyway, now that I have this I am back up and running with my photography. I have never seen a bulb like this in a physical store so I am glad to have found a replacement here.

I love the bright light that it omits. I have floor lamps and did not realize the bulb was so tall. It stands up above the glass dish it sits in so looks a little strange. Best if used in a lamp with a lamp shade.

It's a pure white light that makes your room look like your outside. It lights up the entire room but for best results or really large rooms I would use at least 2 of these together. It can be used as a regular light bulb and a photography light bulb. It does not get hot. I will order more of these soon.

I bought this to brighten my poorly lit garage. I have a 90 Watt incandescent bulb on the other end of the garage. This was advertised as equal to a 200 Watt bulb, but it is no brighter than a 90 Watt bulb, even after allowing time to warm up. The color is great, nice soft white. I wish I could use it inside the house but there is no-way it will fit in any of the fixtures because of its length. I was expecting more considering the price...
