Batteries were included! I used these to operate my automatic gate opener. Although the instructions were for garage door opener and door opener the "Learn" function was the same in my ate operator box.

Called a garage door repair company to get an estimate on replacing my malfunctioning remote. They were going to charge me over $150 to come out and fix. No way. I found thie same remote at Amazon, cost was fantastic, delivered in a day AND IT WORKS PERFECTLY I was even able to pair it myself. So happy with my choice.

We purchased a new car and could not program the car link to work with our garage door opener. In trouble shooting the problem we discovered that the software on less expensive remotes only have the coeds for operating the door and don't have the programing codes built in (hence less expensive). As soon as we got the new remote, we were able to program the car link on the first try!

It works, setup was easy and everything works well. Not much to say about it. The value is not really there. Very pricey for what it does.
