Delivered in very poor shape. Plastic packaging ripped. Marked up due to what appeared to be excessive banging. No paddle attached! Extremely poor as compared to the first one I ordered! I am ordering another and hope it to be in perfect condition!!!!

I have a 7 year old who's spent time in my tandem kayak, but she's ready to try it out for herself and unfortunately even my 10ft is too large for her. I picked this up because it's small and light enough for her to learn the ropes before she grows into something larger (and I have 2 smaller kids who will eventually use this as well). The size is perfect for her, and while the weight is a bit much out of water, it's fine on the water. It doesn't need a seat for short trips, but you'll want to add a seat for longer days on the water. I may add a handle or 2 to the back to help provide grip for getting back on the kayak from the water.

I got this for my six-year-old son, hoping he could enjoy some time outdoors with me while I paddleboard next to him. The kayak is well-built and made from a strong, hard plastic material. It is a good size, roughly 5ft, 6 inches long, and holds up to 100 lbs. It includes a paddle; it works very effectively and feels well-made.I have no complaints; this kayak has been an excellent activity my son can enjoy. It glides smoothly on the water, doesn’t tip easily, and feels stable and secure. There are places where he can set his feet while he sits in it and small drain holes. In addition, it is a reasonable price overall for its make and reliability.

My husband snapped this up, thinking both of our kids could use it. My daughter just turned 12, and our son is 9. I don't think that's going to go according to plan.This is a well-made kayak, and the accompanying paddle is scaled well for the kayak. I suppose I'm more used to a slightly different shape in a kayak - more narrow. But as I doubt a kid would be in any kind of treacherous environment, I'm sure it's fine. There are a series of staged footrests, so that it can work for different ages.That said, this really is scaled for younger kids. The quality of the kayak will not be tested too much, as I think any kid would outgrow this long before it starts to show wear and tear. My daughter is already too tall for it.
