Came in bubble wrap with no docs. No screws and you need ones you won't have. Don't just figure you have a bunch of drive bay hardware and case hardware and you will come up with the screws. This is going back

it never made it in my laptop. these things are supposed to be universal... they arent. dont waste your time buying one. get the one directly meant for your PC, i am now ordering a replacement part. its costing twice as much, but it should fit. am really disapointed.

I replaced a DVD "player" drive in a Dell 760 desktop computer. It fit perfectly after transferring the mounting bracket from the old drive. Now this computer can burn DVD and DVD-DL disks. I already had LG-OEM burning software that will only work with LG DVD units.

If you tighten the screws too much the door doesn't open or close properly. I don't think that should be an issue.

Upon installation, just beware the holes are not standard as I drilled three new holes to accommodate this drive! My old HP DVD drive fit perfectly but this one doesn't and I had a Samsung prior. Also, it isn't "New", it came with third party bubble wrap and no literature as well as no hardware or software. I have yet to install as I'm waiting on another drive to put on top so this review is 1/2 finished. (I have to wait until the 5th for the BluRay.)

It is not slim. Too big for my computer
