Wish it was more adjustable. It's BRIGHT and doesn't have options to change the brightness. The battery lasts a good amount of time. Also, it has really sharp edges so it's not comfortable to wear at all. I think there are better options out there. Wouldn't recommend this one.

I got this specifically for knitting, but I'm sure it'd be great for reading or really anything in low lighting. This is a great way to get light in front of you without having to use a hand to hold the light. This is super easy to use, just pop it around your neck and click both sides on. It's easy to charge and does so in a timely fashion, it's bendy and easy to move so it's where you need it, both sides are independent of each other so you can get as much or as little light as you need, and there are three intensities per side. This is a great little device and has made knitting in low light so much easier. I love it.

This is a great product for helping to work projects in lower lit areas, or to provide extra light when needed (very helpful with black yarn). The warmth and brightness are easily adjusted, the arms are very flexible, and the battery life is good.

This neck light works pretty well. I'm always looking for different reading lights since I love to read before bed. I like this neck light because its hands free and when my partner goes to bed I can adjust the brightness. It does take alittle bit to charge but has a decent battery life. Perfect Christmas gift for any bookworm!I mainly got this for reading but it's great to use around the house if you need alittle extra light. So I can see how it can be used in various settings besides just for reading.

The rechargeable neck light is a nice product. It is more than just a book light. It can be used in various ways from giving you a hands free light to get around in the dark to finding something in a hard to reach or see spot. Turning on the light can be a little awkward at times but that is only a minor issue. No batteries are needed and a charging cord is provided.

I've love this kind of hands-free lights. This is the fourth set I've owned, of various brands. For the sake of everything from power outages (not infrequent in our area), to carrying groceries into our house after dark and doing DIY jobs (like changing an oven element), we keep pairs handy upstairs & down. I almost never use them for reading, as I generally read on my Kindle which has a lighted screen. There are several things I like about this pair, and several features I don't. Mine arrived with the neck arms slightly crunked up, & it took several days to get them into a cleanly circular shape to hang around my neck correctly. I was surprised to see that they arrived without a charge; most electronics these days come with at least a bit of juice. On my fast charging cord, the one I use for my android phone & tablet, they fit fine & charged in 10 minutes. The 3 brightness levels are clickable quickly & will be enough for most people. You switch the color levels with a long press & they mostly aren't worth the trouble. I can use them without the subtle difference of the filters. Some people may like the color switches, but they seem like feature bloat to me. I'd like the arms slightly longer, but these are servicable. On the other hand, these units are priced very cheaply & will work just fine if you don't have a pair. They perform well enough to do the jobs I want them to do. If you just want to try out this popular design, you can spend a few bucks to see if they do the trick for you. Overall, they're a product I recommend.

While I love to read, I also see books as lifelong investments one can pass down from generation to generation. Therefore, I usually read late at night and do not want a lamp as a requirement to do so. However, I am not too fond of traditional reading lights that clamp to books for two reasons:1. The brightness is always ineffective for me (I am uncertain others encounter this problem).2. They ruin your books due to the clamps. I do not care how soft they intend to be; I always find impressions, scratches, and pinch marks. I am not eccentric, but I do not like worn books. This neck reading light is "a better mousetrap" because it is so comfortable that you do not even realize you are wearing it. Additionally, with a hose, you can move and angle on each side in different directions individually, making the brightness of the pages consistent in lighting, as the title says, "Just what I needed." You can also change the brightness level to the point where it is nearly as light as a traditional small lamp at its highest setting, and the ability to change the color temperature is a nice touch. Additionally, the ability to hold its charge makes it a real winner in that department (a built-in rechargeable lithium battery powers it; there is no need for external batteries). A single charge will last a great while. Thanks to this light, I have been reading much more again (something I greatly missed). It is well worth it.
