This was the ideal item to allow me to see my non-backlit keyboard on my older laptop in the dark. It's light output can be adjusted lighter or darker, and it has a usb connection, so it can be powered by the laptop, or a plug-in power source. It also has a on/off switch on the cable.

LED MEANS NO HEAT TO LAP TOP AND VARIATIONS OF LIGHT PERFECT! MY LAPTOP IS 17" AND i'M SURE IT WOULD LIGHT UP SCREENS AS LARGE AS 24 INCHES.

Because of light sensitivity I prefer to use my computer without other lights on but need to see the keyboard. This solution work out well for me. The ability to control the brightness of this light made all the difference. The soft glow setting did the trick.

I was concerned that the light would overpower the screen and cause glare or a reflection on the screen .This was not the case .It works great.I gave it 4 stars because the swivel could be just a bit tighter

even at dimmest setting these are way to bright and flood out laptop screen
