The advertising says: "unlimited 120Hz playtime", however, the package says "Please play in 90Hz mode. The smart chip does not support charging in 120Hz..."Also, the cable is very stiff and heavy, making it uncomfortable when gaming and moving around quickly.I also constantly get messages stating that the is liquid and debris found in the USB charging port when I use this cable. Not recommended at all!

The cable from Kuject is good and it actually does what it says in the Amazon description as promised. After some issues connecting the cable in the correct way due to my USB 3 port on my PC being a bit broken (but fixing it by slapping a USB 3 hub onto it therefore minimizing the connectivity issues) I got a connection to my PC and charge on my Quest 2.Now to the actual promise that I also needed: Being able to charge a VR headset in 120hz mode. And it actually works. Now I dont know if the ratings about this cable are true or not when they said that it does not get recognized as USB 3 or that it does not upkeep the battery charging in 120hz mode and if they simply got a faulty piece or not, but I will explain everything in detail the way I perceived it when I received the cable.I am not using the original Quest 2 charger because for some reason my Quest 2 did not get shipped with a charger. But regardless of that, I got my laptop charger at 65W. While I dont think 65W are needed, its definitely more than enough for what I am doing anyways.Connecting the charger into the cable to "enable the smart chip" or whatever it says on the package, then waiting 15 seconds, connecting the USB C end into the Quest 2, waiting 15 seconds again and finally connecting the USB A end into the front of my PC did the job.Like I previously said, my front USB 3 ports are broken so I did have connectivity issues when playing in PCVR mode, but I quickly fixed them with my cheap USB 3 hub. I dont expect you to have any USB 3 port issues tho, so this can be disregarded.Onto the actual cable itself now. After all the hassle of setting it up I got a charge on my Quest and Quest Link actually recognized my PC, so there was that. I usually run the Quest 2 in 120hz mode because its much smoother for me and while it did not charge fast of course. It actually charged, therefore allowing me to play for as long as I wanted.I dont know if I did any mistakes during the connecting process of the cable, but the charging did not stop at ~78% for me and it simply went till 100%, but that does not bother me. Its still weird because it says on the packaging it would discharge at 0-3% every once in a while till ~78%, then upkeep it there.(Edit1: After some time I realized it often being on 78%. It's either me being lucky to have seen that percentage when I checked or it actually works, I will continue checking)PCVR mode works perfectly fine and nothing felt off.I also provided some pictures showing how I set up my cable, and showing the 2.1 Gbps bandwith + the USB 3 connectivity according to the Oculus software.I also read some reviews which did say that after some months the cable simply stopped working or showed issues which made it unuseable, but I cant support nor debunk those reviews, as I just got the cable on the 14th of August 2023.While its my first Amazon review I am writing, I need people to know the experience I had too, because if they can provide a good external power source like I did, then I am sure it would work for them too, unless the cable they received is faulty. I can also only speak out of the experience of my Quest 2 headset with this, not other VR headsets. I will gradually update the comment with additional pictures and every now and then I will also add a new status update wether the cable still works or not (but I will not do this forever xd).August 2023 - Mai 2024: Still working perfectly fine.

This product did not meet my expectations. I had high hopes for this USB cable as it was advertised as a USB 3.0 cable specifically designed for use with my VR headset. However, upon using it, I encountered a couple of issues that have left me feeling disappointed. Firstly, when I connected the cable to my PC, it appeared as a USB 2.0 connection instead of the expected USB 3.0. This discrepancy made me question whether I had received the correct version of the cable or if there was an issue with my specific unit. The second problem I encountered was the cable's inability to effectively charge my VR headset while transferring data. The product description had claimed that it could perform both tasks simultaneously, allowing for extended usage without worrying about battery drain. Unfortunately, this was not the case in my experience. The headset did not maintain its charge, even during data transfer, which defeats the purpose of having a cable that offers dual functionality.I must admit that I'm unsure whether the problem lies with my particular setup or if there is a compatibility issue with the cable itself. I have checked my PC's USB ports and made sure all drivers are up to date, but the recognition as a USB 2.0 connection persists. It is possible that I may have purchased the wrong version or that there is a defect in the cable.Overall, I am disappointed with this product. It has not delivered on its promises, leaving me questioning its quality and functionality.

The cable looks like it's a good quality, I'm pairing it with quest 2 and it constantly disconnects from the PC , like every second or two . I tried different USB ports in my , but no luck . I will be returning it for a full refund.

THIS CABLE DOES WORK FOR QUEST 3. I'm not looking to keep a battery at 100% the entire time as that destroys the longevity of the battery so I got this assuming this would increase my playtime by at most an hour. BOY WAS I WRONG. I went down from 100% charge to 89% in 2 hours! I honestly recommended this for anyone with a quest 3. BUT YOU GOTTA FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS. I may be biased cause im probably one of the lucky people that got one of the quest 3 batches that allow the battery to keep a stable charge when playing. but still.

The only cable that charges my quest 3 while playing. Truly unlimited pcvr time on the cable. I had their other model for my quest 2 but even following their instructions with using a higher wattage charger it would still slow drain on the quest 3. It gave me about 4 hours of play time. With this one it drains at about 3% every hour until 78 and then doesn't budge. If its below 78 it charges up to it. MAKE SURE TO READ THE PACKAGE WHEN YOU GET IT, you NEED a charger that can do minimum 3 amps and put above 18w, any ubs c chargers that meets that will do. I am only giving it 4 stars because the smart chip inside is very touchy and I need to unplug and redo the whole setup of it every time I use it, sometimes twice in a row so it actually detects it on my pc, but when it works it works and I now have endless play time on pcvr.

I followed the instructions on the package to the letter and made sure it was charging before plugging it into my pc. For some reason it kept saying the battery was at 100% which it certainly wasn't. Then the headset would just die. So it says it's charged. But it's not. I'm going to keep trying. But this doesn't seem to be the long time solution I was hoping it would be. (Edit. The people at kuject were incredibly helpful, and worked with me to send me a new cable that works exactly as described. I can only play on the lowest settings which I think is 72hz but honestly. It's increased my battery life 10 fold. I did 3 separate control tests. I ran vr chat for 1 hour and only lost 3% battery, I played bonelabs and it stayed at 82% without dropping after am hour, and half life alyx took me to 74% and held after an hour of game play and stayed at 74% for the other hour of the play test) this product does what it says it does, more or less. However. Because of the way the smart chip is designed, at least I hope so. Now my quest 2 won't charge if it's off and plugged in. If I took it off it's current wire arrangement and plugged it in elsewhere. It will be fine to charge as normal. But the only way to charge it currently is to power it on. Set the off timer for a few hours and leave it alone while plugged into this cable. Still amazing work from kuject

Let me start 1st by saying my star rating reflects as a Quest 3 user. If you are using a Quest 2 im sure this product will work as its supposed to.So i purchased this product because i figured, if the link cable i purchased from amazon was working for my quest 3 (which was used on my previous quest 2) why wouldn't this powered version not work? Man o man..So i followed instructions that are on the bag that your cables come in, when followed correctly (i assume) the headset light will go off when the smart chip is "activated". After that its plugging into your PC and its supposed to be recognized to go into link cable mode. All that kept happening was my PC trying to connect but it kept disconnecting. On off on off etc. After trying multiple ways of connecting i FINALLY manage to get it to link to my PC but notice its not charging the quest. The icon dose not show charging when you check in the menu. So i figure let me take out just the charger cable from the smart chip block and reconnect and boom. After reconnecting, my quest CRASHES and did not want to start up! No joke! At this point thinking it was bricked or the battery pooped out. Cause not even just the charging cable plugged in was not getting the system to go into a charging state or bring up a screen. NOTHING. Luckily after playing with the power button for awhile i manage to get it to turn back on! SENDING IT BACK! NEVER AGAIN!Stay away from this if you are looking into using for Quest 3. Not worth it! Not worth the trouble trying to get it to work cause you could end up completely messing up the headset!!
