This is a strong bit handles. My Ryobi power drill. Well no complaints yet.

I tested this by using it in my Bosch router to flush up a solid wood edge I put on a plywood sheet. No problems installing it in the router, and the cut was nice and clean with a smooth finish left. I typically use Freud router bits, and this seems comparable in quality, though time will tell. I don't have the Kreg jig that this is supposed to pair with, but it does what it should as a router bit.

This bit is sold as being for a particular jig, and its may be great for that, but that’s not how I’m using it. Compared to other flush trim bits I have, this has a greater cutting capacity, a longer shank (more up-down positioning flexibility), and both top and bottom bearings. I’m involved in a big boat interior restoration project, where nothing is a straight edge. Making patterns out of inexpensive material, then using those patterns to guide precise cuts on the finish material is a very common task. This bit allows me to use either top or bottom guide pieces, and the long cutting surface allows for use with thicker finish pieces. A big plus for flexibility. It feels like a quality tool, and the price is more than fair. The only negative is that it’s too tall to fit into my 1/2” router bit drawer while upright- but it comes in a plastic case.

I used this Kreg trimming bit to trim an oak face frame flush with the oak plywood it was attached to. Kreg is a well known name so I figured that there wouldn’t be any issues. The bit trimmed the finish off the pre-finished plywood. I considered the possibility that my porter cable router might have some runout or chatter that caused the issue so I connected the micrometer I use to set up my table saw with to measure it. The outer edge of the carbide cutter is set proud of the bering by .15mm, just enough to shave off the finish from the plywood. I’m disappointed with the accuracy of the router bit and won’t be purchasing Kreg router bits in the future.

Sweet router bit. Requires a 1/2” collett, so small routers may not be able to use this. This bit has twin bearings and a deep, strong cut. The blades are super sharp, so be aware! No problem giving 5 stars to this. I am sure this bit will outlive me, as I’m 70.Note: I have been an Amazon customer for almost 20 years. I write all of my reviews to reflect my personal observations and opinions on a product. It matters not if I have purchased the item myself or if it was provided to me for review. My goal is to provide other potential customers as much real-world knowledge as possible to make an informed decision. In most cases I will return to my review in 6 months or less to see if I should alter my original observations. In no case will the cost of a product influence my opinions at all. In addition, I will try to include multiple images and or videos on each product, if practical.

Kreg is a brand known for quality that I already use. I am a hobbyist woodworker and purchased this to use in my router table. This bit is sharp right out of the box! It comes in a plastic container that you need to score with a razor near the bottom to open, but then the case can be used to store the bit when not in use. This bit is worth every dollar of the price and definitely competes with some of the bigger brands. The 1/2 inch shank is strong and I have no worry about future issues with this breaking or bending unlike some cheaper bits you can buy online.Kreg is a brand I trust and use in my own woodshop, and their bits appear to be of the same quality as their other products I have used in the past!

This is a high quality flush trim bit. On first inspection, this feels every bit as well made as the higher end Freud and Whiteside bits I have. I like that it has top and bottom bearings, makes it very versatile. Comes in a hard plastic case for storage if that’s how you like to do it. Recommended.
