Used this with my cheapo Wen trim router to put a nice soft to the touch edge on Formica laminated plywood countertop and doors. I love Freud router bits and this is no exception. This will be my go-to but for laminate projects.

Clean precise laminate edges that require almost no filing. We use it in the table router- tried in trim router but burns almost instantly that way.

Used this bit when relaminating my kitchen countertops. I would recommend dialing in the depth on your router using a scrap piece. Once it’s dialed in, this leaves incredibly smooth edges with very little sanding needed afterward. Would definitely buy again.

After buying a box full of laminate finish bits that failed to do a clean cut without scratching the banding I got this guy. He is the shizzle ! Beautiful corner between top and edge and no filing and no scratches. I give some credit also to using Lami-lube which is about the most slippery stuff on the planet. Keeps the trimmer moving and prevents glue buildup on the bit. I trimmed a whole countertop and the bit looks like it came out of the box. There is an adjustment learning curve for this bit but once set, it is awesome.

I have a small cabinet shop and this is the best work saver I've found for trimming laminate. Once you get it set correctly it makes an almost file free edge. I keep a little Makita router with this bit in it all the time just so I don't have to spend time setting it, trial and error, every time I want to use it. Definitely pays for itself and delivers quality finish every time. It saves ware and makes the bit last longer if you use a flush trim bit first to cut off the bulk and then use this to finish it. A lot more accurate than hand filing.

Does a good job on cabinet refacing to reduce the amount of filing to finish the opening edges. Best on softer laminates. Chippy, dry and thin lams are going to chip up from any lateral pressure so a straight or 5 degree bit seems to work better there.

I ordered this because I've so many large cabinets doors, drawers, and desks to work on. If I used file to trim edges, it would've taken me forever to get the job done. As I spearheaded, I accidentally found this one, and figured it couldn't be worse under the circumstance. After a few test cuts with Dewalt compact router, I felt that the cost of this bit worth every penny. It is indeed an investment rather than an expensive toy. Great product and great quality.

I've used a number of different bits in the past but none works nearly as well as this one. It's sharp and it cuts a nice rounded edge (you could use it equally well to ease the sharp edges on a project). The bearing works well and it was easy to adjust to the right height.
