Built like a German tiger tank, I wouldn’t trust my $60,000 worth of guitars on anything else.Actually made in Germany, not China like the rest of the crap out there

I use the acoustic guitar model for my acoustic guitar and give it a 10 out of 10 rating. I also wanted a K&M stand for my open-back banjo. The acoustic guitar model does hold my banjo (after closing the legs one notch so that the rim doesn't touch the floor), but because it is designed for an acoustic guitar the arms that the banjo rests on are long, and the fit isn't snug. I then ordered the K&M bass guitar model, hoping it would hold the banjo more snugly. The bass model has a deep notch in the arms in order to hold the typical electric bass, but it was too narrow for my banjo. The banjo sat up on the shoulders of the notch rather than resting down in the notch. I returned the bass guitar version and ordered a second acoustic version for my banjo, and it works just fine. It is so solid that I have no worries about my banjo being inadvertently knocked over.

The stand is as advertised; high quality offers great protection and is sturdy. I use it for both my electric and acoustic.

They changed the original to this cork...it has some stickiness to it Doesn't mark up the guitar but I am partial to the original. Overall very good

Very heavy well built. I was surprised by how much so. Got this because the quiklok stand I bought actually damaged my guitar. This km stand is much heavier with no hard Sharp plastic edges to gouge the guitar. Guitar rests in a more study position too. Would highly recommend this km A-frame stand over other A-frames, especially quiklok.

There are good inexpensive guitar stands available. I have several and they are generally OK. However, this is the stand to have when you want something rock solid, immovable, and seriously stable. They aren't cheap but for what they do and how well they do it, I find them to be a great value. You need at least one in your set up because sooner or later something bumping into that fine guitar sitting on it will make you appreciate it.

This is a heavy duty piece of kit. I suspect it will last a lifetime! It holds my expensive classical guitar safely and securely.

Have looked at and tried all the others at the local big box music store. I purchased the K&M through Amazon and am now ordering two more to replace my support on the bottom and rest on the neck stands. The angle of the guitar on the unit is slight, just what you would expect. I teach classical guitar and have no reserve about placing very expensive guitars on this unit. There are no close seconds, this unit is a rock. Unless you smash your guitar on it, it will not scratch the surfaceof your instrument. The On Stage and other less expensive brands will hold your guitar they just are not as sturdy as this unit. It's heavy, will not tip over and offers the best protection against scratching your investment.
