First- finishing tape is basically super thin electrical tape. You can wrap the end of what your wrapping grip tape with and create a nice black edge that secure. It is not finishing tape that will secure the grip tape to itself.Taking into consideration...I went completely off grid. This bicycle grip tape is great padding. I had no trouble wrapping it.No trouble securing end I started on.On one section I also had no trouble being able to simply tuck the finishing end under the last wrap. The other section I used a piece of double sided tape as I did not want a black stripe, nor did I want the adhesive from the tape on the outside. What I did....I play the euphonium, baritone tuba/baby tuba) and am playing in the pit orchestra for musical ath the local high school. Once we got down to full dress rehearsals with orchestra and cast between rehearsals and performances we have 13 days of 4.5 hour in the pit with only 2 days off Monday and Tuesday in the middle 9+4. I needed to be able to put horn down at times without just laying it on the ground. It has a trombone size bell so does not stand on the bell like many.Found a guitar stand and it works great, except for placing a the metal back.Seems odd to me since the hottom legs on the stand come with foam padding all around them.I've used bicycle grip tape for many things in the past. This time I wrapped the back legs of the A frame stand and it works great. It's a little firmer than the foam padding that came on the stand, but it's still a nice soft cushion for my horn.

Very nice product, looks high end and cork is the best handlebar wrap for cushioning.

Wraps better (just the right stretch) and holds up better than plenty of pricier options.

Its not an adhesive, its a wrap for your handlebars and works great! Comes with a small adhesive piece to finish it off, I also used a bit of my own black tape. The chrome end pieces didn't fit my old bike ends but the ones I have popped back in and looked great.

Tape is medium quality. It seems like some kind of closed foam, is soft and almost slick. I think the roll is a little short and does not stretch very well. I ended up re-wrapping after letting the first go stretch in place for a bit. I noticed it holds indentations from the cable housings, so this may not be the most durable tape in the long run. With just a little searching here on amazon, you will see there are nearly a half-dozen different listings for basically this same tape with other company names on it. I wish the listings would just be combined. But this does tell you this is basically a no-name tape. However, my biggest gripe is the color is not very pronounced (I ordered red/black). The pattern is fine, but the red is not saturated at all. It looks very light next to my new jagwire red cable housings. For the price, it's hard to be too critical. Who knows, maybe I'll really love this tape, but if it tears up or comes loose, I won't think twice about replacing it with something more expensive.

First impression: They look decent, the foam doesn't feel cheap. The foam isn't completely flat, the middle 1/3 is, but the sides taper off to about half thickness, giving it the shape of a very flattened trapezoid. They come packed with 2 shiny endcaps and 2 strips of matte black tape, presumably to finish off.Installing: This was my first time wrapping a handlebar, so bear with me. They are a bit stretchy. I test-wrapped a couple times to see how the thickness changes and got it on the 3rd time. If you wrap so only the tapered sides overlap, the foam comes out even. Once you wrap closer or have to account for curves, the wraps becomes more bumpy (i could probably do better, but I'm no pro). I did cut some excess off when wrapping my drop down handlebar, which is one of the longer styles, so you definitely have enough length for each side of any handlebar. I didn't finish the wrap with just the provided tape. The tape is much like regular tape or duct tape, where they are not elastic, and so wrinkles show up easy. I finished with a bunch of electrical tape and overlaid the matte tape over it, which came out nice. After installation: So far after about 3 weeks in mostly sun and little bit of rain, they are doing fine. I don't feel them drying out. It's obviously too soon to tell how long it will last, but for this price, I will be happy with a couple years. I will add pictures soon.

Pros:Very strong - I was able to apply a lot of tension when wrappingVery soft - they actually provide very good padding if that's what you're looking forNO GLUE - that's a disavantage for some but you really shouldn't need glue on your wraps...Cons:The caps are NOT metallic - they fit well, but they are made of very cheap feeling plastic which I afraid will wear down relatively quickly (so far so good though)Some segments of tape had little rips in them -it's not a big deal because applying tension when wrapping didn't expand them and they are too small to affect grip or even be visuallY displeasing so that's not a biggieGave 4 stars instead of 5 because of the freaking bar caps. They looked metallic but they look and feel so cheap, while the tape itself is surprisingly good!
