Spacers with anti-slip structure is helpful to be tightly fitted to clamp, which making assembly simpler and faster.
Compared with fragile plastic handlebar which frequently damaged, well made aluminium alloy bar extender got more durability. The bracket is well made and very solid when tightened and the bar is adjustable and locks into set positions so you get no vibration or shake due to lose fitting parts. Extender body alone can be used to install lights, speedometer computer, smart phone mount, etc.
installation
1.Loosen 2 screws in "extender" by m4 allen key.
2.Install the "bar" in the small hole and screw it tight.
3.According to step 2, Install the "Bar" into two "Extender".
4.Clip two "extender" to the handlebar with correct "spacers".
5.According to step 4, install two "Extender" into the handlebar.
6.Adjust the position&angle and screw it tight.

This handlebar extender mount is considerably more expensive than the other ones available, but I'm glad I chose this one and would recommend it.It is very solid, high quality and doesn't twist and drop down at all under load/vibration. The collars are plastic rather than rubber, but to my surprise they are totally effective and don't damage the handlebars. The extender bar, meanwhile, is aluminium and nicely finished.It's a little fiddly to install. The biggest problem is getting the extender bar into the smaller compression fittings, which aren't open clamps like the handlebar side. They're very tight and it's aluminium-on-aluminium, so you have to find a way to cautiously wedge them open quite far otherwise the bar won't slide freely and will get very badly scratched as you twist it into place. I used allen keys as wedges, but even then managed to end up with score marks on the lovely bar. The damage is bad enough to annoy me, but not bad enough to return and go through it all again.Ultimately, it looks good and provides space for lights etc. on handlebars with only a small straight section such as trekking/comfort bars. There's a lot of profit in that price, but it is a good product.

It looks ok. The Aluminum bar has a very thin wall and could break easy. It's a real PITA to put together and/or adjust. The aluminum spacers are all the same size and don't grip well. Rubber would be better in my opinion.The two big issues I have are:1. If it's not tight enough, it slips.2. If it's too tight, the clamp hinge pops out, rendering it useless.For me, it's hardly worth returning. It'll be going out with Wednesday's recycling.

Overall, well made and solid. But be careful assembling on your bike. Brackets are made of aluminum and the thread holes will easily gall when inserting steel bolts. Suggest using some oil. If the bolt doesn't go in easily, back it out and try again. I screwed up (pun intended) and had to retap the hole. Hopefully there is enough thickness to where it will not be a problem long term. At this price point, bolt holes should have been slightly countersunk to avoid misalignment, hence the four stars.

This is well made but they don't exactly draw your attention to how narrow the bar is. The problem is if you are transferring all your gadgets from a standard drop bar to this extension you'll need to go find/buy smaller mounting brackets for all your mounts. They should put the tiny 22.2mm bar diameter right up front in the name of the product.
