This prestigious award was presented to the company in a ceremony led by the Director of the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority on June 24, 2021.

Flo Mask uses Technostat filter media technology which is proudly made in the USA.
Our unique manufacturing process uses a needle punch non-woven textile that is electrostatically charged, making it incredibly efficient at preventing airborne particulates from passing through.
This spunbond process also makes breathability much better than traditional meltblown filters.

Our Story
Flo Mask was created by an award winning product innovator based in the Silicon Valley. As a dad to three young kids, his mission, which begin in 2018, was to develop an effective mask for kids. Aiming to protect them from the annual California wildfires. He and his world class team of product designers spent two long years and dozens of prototypes later to finally bring to life a mask worthy of not just their own kids wearing, but yours.

So I bought these to go with the flomask I got for my toddler. They fit perfect. They seem a bit thin but I'm not an expert on mask construction. Just to be on the safe side, I either double up or add an extra HEPA filter layer that I cut out from one of the rolls you can buy.

I purchased these for my son for his return to Hybrid Schooling as he chews on other masks due to sensory issues which only cause problems with him breathing through the wet fabric. He initially had some adjustment problems to the silicone which was to be expected due to his special needs. We did work into it slowly an hour, then two, etc. Similarly as we do to his SMO braces when he gets new ones because its something new that he has to adjust to. I was pleasantly surprised that he was able to wear the mask all day one day and almost all day another day (minus an hour which he switched into a fabric mask I sent with him as a backup). I feel more comfortable with him wearing this mask at school being around others even when social distancing as I feel that it protects him much more than even the fabric masks with the filter and 2 additional layers. I would buy one for myself if I could since I work in one of the other schools in our district if they became available. It would be totally cool if the front part that clips on over the filter came in different colors and patterns too! I am so grateful to the parent that came up with this it is totally worth the money to protect my child! Also a teenage version for my older child would be fantastic!
