2-D Masks vs 3-D Masks
Many lower quality masks are a two dimensional design. 2-D masks are made of a flimsy cloth layer that lies flat when you set it down. This is a problem because the human face isn't flat. 2-D masks will almost always have large gaps around the sides, top and bottom. These large gaps will allow unfiltered air to enter and escape, greatly reducing the mask’s efficacy.
The 4521 is a three dimensional mask. It is manufactured from two layers of specially woven cotton. Each layer is woven to a different density and filters different sized particles. This design allows the mask to conform to the shape of your face and seal tightly with minimal gaps. These features greatly improve the quality of the air coming in and going out.
2 Specially Woven Layers
The Universal 4521 mask is made from two layers of 100% cotton in two different densities. The black outer layer is less dense and designed to block larger particles, while the white inner layer is denser and designed to block smaller particles. Finally found a dust mask that actually fits me. The small is snug around my face and really works well. Soft and comfy too. All other masks I have tried have been too big and gapped badly. These are wonderful. The medium fits me pretty good too but I prefer the snugness of the small.

Love these masks! They’re super comfortable, feel well made, and are breathable. I’m a petite adult woman so I got the size small. The small size fits snug on my face which I appreciate as there’s no gaps on the side like you get with surgical masks. However, I feel like I would benefit more from a medium as the small is quite tight and seems like it would be more suitable for a child.I’m happy that these masks don’t have a strong chemical odor like a lot of masks do (although I would still recommend washing them first before wearing them). They also have a nice, sturdy nose clip that holds it’s shape. Overall, these met all my checkpoints! 👍

fits nice, but each one side of the loops that goes around the ears at "hot glued gun'd" so if you put it through the washer once, it falls apart. the entire loop should be stitched in.

The material is soft. Doesn’t fog up glasses for my 11yr old. The medium size works best for him. The small was a little too small. He wears it with a lanyard and prefers this mask over others. We have tried both black and grey medium size and small. Doesn’t shrink after wash. The nose piece goes out of shape, but very easy to straighten out.

I ordered Medium and these masks fit nicely, even after I washed them before wearing. (Did not put them in dryer.) They are cotton and have tiny wire nose holders you can pinch for added fit. Honestly, I didn’t know there was a wire until I touched the bridge of my nose because I couldn’t feel it- so it’s super comfortable. They look like quality masks-stitching, color, proportions. The ear loops are elastic, so they CAN cause your ears to be a little sore/tender if it’s worn ALL DAY. They are not adjustable but the M fit my face and head and I’m an average female adult. I wish the ear loops were cotton just like the mask because cotton loops are so much more comfortable, but I could not find any on Amazon. And I was sick of wearing the ugly disposable ones to work and the black cotton ones I have. I wanted some colors to match work clothes and to shoooosh up my scary boring mask face appearance because I work with kids. So these are good. I only gave them 4 stars for comfort because I don’t think any masks are comfortable.

I've bought so many different kinds of masks since COVID began and this is by far the best one I've found!! I love the 3 different sizes cuz I have a small face and I've had a hard time finding a good mask that fits and the medium fits perfect and comfortably!! It has a wire on the bridge of the nose for a tighter fit and to help with foggy glasses. It passes the lighter test, not being able to blow a flame out so I know it's protecting me since I have an autoimmune disease so I'm at higher risk even after being vaccinated so I still wear my mask. I wish I would've found this mask before all the others cuz I could've saved time, money and frustration about them all being way to big on me, even surgical masks unless I'd buy kids sizes. This one is light weight, soft, comfortable and washes easy so I would recommend it to anyone and have.

I like the colors of these, the fabric is soft and comfortable. I wish they had ear adjusters.as they are a bit too big and end up falling off my nose, so I’m going to have to tie a knot on the ear loops which sucks. What I really don’t like is how fragile they seem, they are not going to hold up well. The nose metal piece started poking through the fabric after the first wash and the ear straps started fraying in places ( I washed them in contoured garmet bags for protection and dried them in dryer also in garmet bag).

These fit really well and are very comfortable. The flexible nose bridge helps with fit and prevents fogging when I'm wearing glasses. The only negative is the flexibility/rigidity of the fabric with the softness if you're talking a lot or breathing heavy you kinda suck the mask in, which hasn't been an issue with other more rigid masks.

I have bought these 3 times now to replenish our collection of masks. Pleased with the fabric. My husband has a short beard and the large covers his chin. Washed several times and dried in dryer, still holding up well. I am plus size with a round face and the large fits me also. Nose piece is a must for us as we are glasses wearers, this one is great.They fit snug to your face on the sides also. They do shrink slightly, but I have never washed them on hot so I imagine they could shrink more.
