Bought this for my son, for karate. What's not so great about these pads is that it's actually difficult to make a good fist with these mitts on. Because of that, within 6 months I got rid of these mitts and switched him to the cloth pads which were much better.Maybe this works for other martial arts, but from the point of view of a karate practitioner, these suck.
