I was tired of things just lying around and I was making a mess of the tablecloth used on my work surface. This desk pad and organizer set seemed worth trying and it has been a great addition to my workspace, primarily for the desk pad, pen bucket, and cup holder box. I do keep things in each of the organizer containers, but haven’t found the phone/tablet stand to be very useful and the cable management features haven’t worked for my purposes. Since the thing I like the most is the desk pad, it is a bit frustrating that it is a constant cleaning challenge. Anything and everything that can be attracted to it is. The pad itself can be brushed off and wiped down fairly easily but the many velcro areas are always messy. So the aesthetic is a bummer, but it’s been a very handy tool to keep my space organized and have small needed items at the ready instead of them rolling around on top of the table or me getting up to look in a drawer for them.

I love how handy this desk mat is. You can easily move around the sections or not even use them if you don’t want to. They’re Velcro so you can take it off and move it around so it fits your desk setup the way you like it to! It’s a really good quality, firm and sturdy! I love this addition to my desk!

The mat has a wide (maybe 6") velcro band at the top for attaching the various bins. The bins themselves come in a variety of useful shapes and sizes, including one that's a generous size for a can, cup or mug, with a cutout in the side for a handle to slide into. It's big enough that pretty much any mug would fit, and it has sides tall enough that you're unlikely to be able to knock it over. The other attachments are bins and holders, including a tablet/phone holder. You can arrange them however you like. It took me a couple of minutes to figure out how the tablet/phone holder folds into shape, even though the (pretty good) instructions gave a few hints, but eventually I got it. (If you get it quickly, you get the satisfaction of knowing you're smarter than me.) It was the only thing I looked at the directions for; everything else was already fully assembled and ready to go. Also, there are 3 elastic loops on part of the velcro strip, for cord holders. Though they could also be used as highlighter or sharpie or erasable marker holders.The pad itself (the non-velcro part) is pretty nice fabric, smooth and fairly soft. For some reason I was expecting it to be polyurethane or some other artificial leather, but it is a neoprene-like soft fabric, and very comfortable to rest my hand on when I'm using it as an actual mouse pad. The edge is stitched, so unless you damage it, it should last well and not unravel.As a bonus, if you have a favorite thing you like to keep on your desk, you can stick velcro on the bottom and stick it on, so it won't move or tip over.
