"Kastar 2-Pack Two Way Radio Battery Replacement for Midland BATT-5RX BATT5RX AVP-17 AVP17 GXT8..."These batteries work great. They even hold a charge after the walkies were sat on a shelf for a few weeks not being used. I have only charged these things one time because they held the first charge so well. The batteries are used in Midland GXT850 walkie talkies and have had no issues.

These batteries at 1,000 mAh, not 700 mAh like the originals. They charge fully, 5 out of 6 of the original batteries are not charging fully, cutting down on power output and operating time. I recommend these over the original manufacturer.

Inused these in my midland radios this past hunting season and it was COLD. If we charged them every night they were fine but even if we didn't use them during the day but had them out with us in the woods and didn't charge them, they would only last maybe half a day. Strange...

I have two models of Midland radios. Many take this same battery, but I can only confirm that it works in the GXT and LXT310 models.These batteries are inexpensive, but don't have quite the life of the OEM batteries. I know this because I have purchased them before (about 4 years ago). Based on my use and previous experience in their lifespan, the lower cost outweighs the longer lifespan of a more expensive set.It's a value proposition of cost vs lifespan. Obviously, I purchased again, so for me it's worth it t, but your needs will vary.

These fit perfectly into my GXT1000 radios. Lasts longer than the original 700mah batteries. I have let these stay on while listening to the weather channel frequency for two days before they started. I didn’t actually let them die. They were charged back up with the original desk charger within 2-3 hours (one charging alone). Very pleased with these and definitely recommend them. They appear well made to my layman eye. They seem to be a really good value for the money.
