My whip was just delivered, and I was excited to open it. My excitement dissipated quickly, however. I'm mystified how this has such high ratings. Maybe mine is a one off. I have been collecting bullwhips since Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom came out when I was 12 years old. Had the use of them mastered by year's end, after a few hundred slaps in the face lol.Still have my original whip I got in 1984, and since then have added several dozen to the collection, ranging from cheapos I picked up in Mexican border towns or feed stores to higher end whips that cost more than an average pistol.Historically, I've always liked long ones, and aside from the 4 feet one I bought for my daughter (who didn't take to the hobby due to the pain involved in mastering them lol), have always bought longer ones (10 to 18 feet), aside from a couple of 8 feet ones.I haven't bought a new whip in a decade, so settled on this one, thinking being so short, I could wrap it stealthily around my waist like a loose belt and be able to quickly pull it off and scare away attacking dogs on my nightly rural walk. My daughter's has a longer wooden handle and is cheap quality, so wanted another short whip. Don't want to carry a long whip openly looking like an Indiana Jones wannabe on my nightly walks, and they're too long to discreetly wrap around one's waist to use for quick deployment, and would either wouldn't pull loose and tighten if pulled on quickly or would burn like hell if it somehow did.As you can see, there's no less than three spots on the ball of the handle alone where there are gaps in the overlay. Literally no whip in my collection is this sloppily made: including those aforementioned ones bought in Mexican border towns for $10 or less in the 80s and 90s. Certainly none of my high end whips have such flaws: including my other snake whips.Furthermore, while it isn't like I can verify it with DNA analysis, the leather doesn't seem to come close to the quality of my other kangaroo leather whips, and honestly feels and looks like relatively cheap leather.That last part is subjective, so I'm adding one additional star for my inability to verify this, but given I paid $80 for it and have $10 whips that apparently rival it in my satisfaction, 2 stars is the best I'm giving them. I'm gonna go ahead and keep it since it still will serve it's purpose, but not at all impressed with what I got for what I paid. It certainlg wasn't expensive as comparable whips go, but it equally wasn't cheap, and it feels and looks cheap to me.

I bought 3 different whips from this company. I love the fact they simply give you extra cracks and falls. They eventually fail. The company knows this, and would rather you replace it with a proper fall for the whip they made. LOVE the kangaroo hide, and how honest the company is about the strands they use. Well worth the money. Side note, I also bought a cheaper 12ft cowhide whip from the same seller, and the quality was outstanding. Even the cheaper whips they make, the low end, are outstanding.

Love everything about this snakewhip, I changed the fall to a kangaroo hide fall from then because I prefer that leather. Love it so much just bought two of the kangaroo hide snakewhips. 100% my favorite whip company yet, always fast and quality. Care for you leather and break it in correctly and you'll have a phenomenal whip!

Sturdily made, comes with plenty of accessories and replacement crackers and fall. Only took a couple of days to break in, now cracking it is almost trivial.
