Initially when I put it on, I thought it fit well. Threw away the box thinking it was ok. Then was really looking at it and noticed that it was not sitting quite flush with the front lip. When I got it flush with the front and side, it would not screw in properly. So it's a bit off. My mistake was throwing away the box.

The screw slowly unscrews and leaves the handgrip lose after a while.

What I like most is that this case doesn't use the tripod hole to attach the case to the camera. Most cases have a pretty bulky screw that goes into the tripod hole whereas this one uses two button based wings that goes around the strap ring on the camera. The case fits perfectly and the the case is between 0.1 to 0.2 inch thick. One thing to know before purchasing is that you cannot use the tripod with this case on, because the hole is covered by the case.

Relatively expensive, excellent build quality, fit and finish provides considerable protection with minimal bulk.NOTE: This case does not have a tripod mount, it has two "wing: which snap over the strap lugs. I consider this a "feature" not a "bug" as the camera sits solidly base-down and without scratching the surface on which it is resting, someone who needs to mount to a tripod without modifying the case may feel differently.Bottom line:I *really* wish RI made a similar case for the GF1!
