A must, for drummers who want to go from high hat, to double bass, without loosening the high hat screw. Great functionality, just tap the lever with a stick, and boom, closed high hat, and since I don't have a 3rd leg, this is the next best thing. Fit my TAMA set perfectly.

The cymbal is too heavy. Never has this issue with any other drop clutch.

Hi hats must be gapped, at least one inch or it will snag hook and engage from stick impact, which makes it useless as NO ONE plays hi hats with a one inch gap/separation.
