Loved using this for soldering sterling silver, but it is very pricey for the length you get. So far, this one seems to be one of the only ones on Amazon that won't cause pitting in your metal.

I'm just learning to solder copper rings. Sometimes I need such a small piece of solder and I am able to cut them from this wire.

Having silver solder in wire form can be useful for all sorts of joins. This is a great product that meets the manufacturer's specifications. The solder is easy to measure and cut so you know you're using the same amount of solder each time. I like using this form of solder for the inside of cabochon settings since it has a greater surface contact area, but it's useful in all sorts of different situations. The only downside is the tendency of the solder to roll a little, but that's what a solder pick is for.

Was pretty disappointed when this came in. I was expecting a lot more, but that's on me. After opening the package and seeing how little wire it was I was considering returning it as I expected spools of the wire. However, I read over the page this time and saw that it only includes 1 foot of wire for each type. Considering this costs about as much as over half an ounce if fine silver I got gipped for sure, but again that's on me because I was in a hurry.

I’ve ordered this before. I usually make my own solder sheet but every now and then the wire is easier or more convenient to use. Hard and medium always get used the most. Easy occasionally, super easy I haven’t used yet. I may add some .999 silver make a drop of medium or hard then roll into tiny sheet. I’ll definitely order more wire solder when getting low.
