Jensen MOD6-15 66 inch round for Elec Guitar,,, power capable to around 5 W inclean sounds...using any type of amp... yes, this is 4 ohm... so bot 2, and jointed for 8 ohm effective.even if played with ONE speaker or two, result is samealsoVERY VERY boring sound..maybe better suited for AM radio

Despite several internet threads to the contrary that poo-pooed the idea of upgrading this little amp, I found this speaker was a good replacement for the stock Fender Frontman 10G speaker - I definitely hear a difference - it sounds clearer and can be pushed to greater volume before distorting. It took all of 5 minutes to unscrew the back 4 screws, take the back off, unscrew the 4 speaker screws and disconnect the two leads (white goes to positive), put the Jensen in place and screw it in (make sure to re-connect the ground wire) and connect the two leads, and replace the back and screw it down.It was so easy I did it twice, just to confirm the sound difference between the two speakers, making sure I kept the same amp and guitar tone and volume settings. For the price this is an easy and worthwhile upgrade. I'd do it again, now I like the 10G even more.

I am pro musician, playing 50 plus years. I own all kinds of amps, mostly tube stuff. I bought a little Fender Frontman 10G about a year ago just to put by the sofa so I had something smallish to amp my guitar. The Frontman as it comes stock is ok as a practice amp, however, the tone for me was just not happening. Putting in this Jensen totally changed this amp from a somewhat "toy" amp to a real amp. The difference is night and day. Tone and volume is soo much better. So good in fact that I would have no problem using this amp for a small venue, or coffee house or even a church. Will it cover a acoustic drummer???? Not unless he plays very quiet. But it will easily keep up with hand drums, etc. For a very small price, you will completely change this amp and make it a really useful piece of equipment. One thing to note is that the speaker terminals are reversed from the stock speaker. Zero problem. Just put the positive and negative leads (marked) where they belong. Installation took all of ten minutes. A must do upgrade.

Many reviewers here have used this speaker to upgrade their Fender Champion 600 amps. That's what I got it for, as well. All I have to add is my observation about the rather dramatic changes this speaker provided. When I tested the amp in the store over two years ago, I was so happy with its sound, I bought it spontaneously. I started using it for recording immediately, and it has never disappointed me. That said, there was a certain "closed down" quality about the sound that was not unpleasant, but less than brilliant. New tubes helped, but the amp was never what you'd describe as "chimey". I was never really unhappy with that, considered it the amp's typical, charming, if somewhat reserved, character. But when I installed the Jensen MOD, mostly because it was so affordable, I was really stunned by the amount of mojo it added. It was like a door being opened, a blanket being lifted, and some other typical guitar-sound-metaphors that don't really explain what's going on. I found myself unable to put the guitar down. That's always the clearest indication that something important has happened to my sound. The little Champion suddenly reveals a richness and clarity of sound that I didn't really expect. Sort of like the "new strings" experience, times two. Invest in this speaker, you won't regret it for a minute.

I modded my Roland Micro Cube with this larger speaker to try to get rid of the flabbyness at high gains the Micro cube is known for. It makes the amp sound fuller and has more midrange. It is a great speaker. In my case unfortunately the Micro Cube must have flabbyness built into its circuitry.. I tried playing the amp with the speaker hooked up laying on the workbench, before I installed it into the cabinet (Which I had to "modify" to accept the the speaker), thinking the small cabinet contributes to the speaker flabbing and it still Flabbed at MAX volumes on certain AMP settings. Not as much but it still happened. But at less then cranked volumes, it sounds really good. I also did an "A" "B" test with the 5" original Micro Cube speaker just to get the idea of the difference. It was significant.I tried this hooked up to Old Fender VibroChamp to test the speakers capabilities to assure me that the speaker wasnt flabbing out. The VC has its original Fender Special Design 8" in itIn that application it was HUGE... It sounded really good. No Flab.Great Speaker great Price.

I ordered this to replace the factory speaker in a Fender Champion 600. The overall sound quality improved and it was a direct fit so the job was quick. However,After playing a while I found that when lower notes are played (starting around A on the E string) the bass was lacking a bit and produces what can be best described as a "farting" sound. This also occured with the OEM speaker.I solved the problem by getting the MOD-8 and installing it into its own cabinet. I could have mounted it in the Fender but I didn't want to mod the speaker panel. The 8's cabinet is modeled after the Champion and it plays fantastic. So - The 6 is an improvement...but the 8 is much better. I may even try the "10" now...
