I installed this speaker in an old Tech 21 power engine 60 hoping for an improvement using my line 6 helix. Normally I just play direct but needed an amp on stage for an occasional gig and didn't want to spend a lot of money on frfr system. The tech 21 normally sounded boxy and hard to eq with my helix so it sat in storage for a long time. I changed out the speaker and got a happy surprise with this celestion triple cone. Is it perfect, no but what is? Too many variables to speak of. This is definitely an improvement over the original celestion 70 eighty in the power engine. I also slid a small panel behind the amp to decrease the open back sound of the power engine when it was close to a wall. When using the active eq on the power engine and the low and cuts in the helix global eq I had great results without having to change my presets.
