For those who don’t like to center pull their yarn, the Portable Wrist Yarn Holder with Wrist Strap works well. You place your yarn on the middle section, attach the wrist strap, and start pulling your yarn. This keeps your yarn from twisting around like it would in a yarn bowl. My one critique is that this would work well for smaller amounts of yarn, but larger balls would need a larger contraption.

I really like using these wrist strap yarn dispensers. They are convenient to travel with, and it's easy to hook them on to the sun visor in your car, or on the handles of my mobility scooter, making them great for travel, especially paired with one of the bags I've recently acquired, to hold everything while not in use. They're very cute, with nice designs cut out on both the base and stem, and they feel like they're made out of a lightweight, but sturdy wood. The clips rotate smoothly for the most part, so the yarn is dispensed with little issue. Overall they're a great value, and function nicely!

I love these. It keeps my yarn from rolling onto the floor if I am pulling more yarn from the cake or ball. They are also little pieces art - they have vibrant colors and designs.

The portable wrist yarn holder has a clever concept but is not very practical. To function smoothly, you need to be standing so it can hang and turn freely, which limits its convenience. Using it in a car is uncomfortable, as you’d have to hold your arm high to keep it away from the yarn holder. On the positive side, the designs are beautiful. The pack includes three holders, each intricately cut with different shapes and painted in lovely colors. The leather strap adds an elegant touch, elevating the overall aesthetic. However, the wood feels lightweight and cheap, detracting from the premium feel. The design also isn’t ideal for switching yarn colors. The strap hooks onto the holder in a way that requires the ball of yarn to be attached first, meaning you have to disassemble the strap whenever you need to change colors. While it’s stylish, it lacks functionality, making it more of a novelty than a practical tool.

These yarn holders seem to be well made and the decorative cut out details are cute. Three come in the package just as indicated. However, they are smaller than I was expecting. Only crochet thread spools, sugar n cream spools or something of similar size will fit. If you like to use craft store, bulk bought yarn this will not be any use to you. If you use crochet threads, sugar n cream, or specialty and/or hand dyed yard from hanks wound into skeins this could easily be a very helpful little tool… especially if you are forever chasing balls of yard across the room as they roll off the couch or table. It also needs to sit loose enough (ie have a big enough center hole) that it can spin freely. As I seldom use store bought bulk yarns this is just fine for me.

This is a set of 3 yarn ball holders designed to hold an outside pull ball of yarn securely and keep it from running all over the place while one is knitting/crocheting. It is of the same concept as a yarn bowl save that this is much lighter, portable, and easier to use in my opinion. This set of 3 have wood bases that feature laser cutouts in beautiful designs. Each wrist strap is of a different color too. There is nothing to dislike or criticize about this item. For the price, it is good value and I would highly recommend!

I got the original Lemonwood minders that these are spoofed on earlier this year, and these are smaller and the hardware isn't as hefty. That being said, if you just need some small minders for a project that has multiple colors, I like using these rather than bobbins. The colors are vibrant and designs are crisp and clear. On the originals, the handles are supple leather and the carabiner/clip combo are bigger and heftier than these, which are thin faux leather and smaller, lighter metal. If you're looking for a cheap enough product to try these out, this would probably work for you. If you want something that is going to last a long time, you might want to upgrade. You get what you pay for.

I've been using the Iswawo Portable Wrist Yarn Holder, and I must say, it's an ingenious idea and a fantastic addition to my yarn accessories. This wrist yarn holder is perfect for taking your knitting projects on the go. The lightweight plywood construction means you almost forget you're wearing it, and the leather strap is super comfortable. What really stands out to me is how smoothly it spins. It’s like watching a top in motion, and it’s also quite pleasing to look at. The natural wood texture and warm touch add a nice touch of elegance to the tool. Assembly was a breeze, and it does exactly what it promises – it spins the yarn ball efficiently. One thing to keep in mind: this holder is best suited for skeins or cakes where the yarn comes off the outside. If you're using a center-pull skein, this might not be the tool for you since you don't need the yarn to spin. When I got near the center of the ball, there was some catching on the base of the spinner. However, I found that rewinding the yarn a bit looser and placing it back on solved the issue – it worked like a charm afterward. The compact size of this yarn holder makes it less cumbersome compared to others with longer center spindles. It’s really practical and easy to handle. Overall, I love this yarn holder for its functionality and beauty.Plus you don't get just 1, but 3 of these beauties. Great for working on multiple projects. One for each project to make it easy for on the go.
