It is so convenient to have a phone holder right on my yarn holder. The yarn winds well as I knit and there is a nice space between the holder and the stand.

The arm broke while assembling (fell from couch). Glued it back together, went to use it a week later and the screw attaching the bottom of the spindle to the poke stripped the hole and the bottom totally fell apart

I’ve been crocheting for many years. I’d say the most frustrating thing about beginning a project is digging for that end inside the ball of yarn. BUT, if you work with yarn, you KNOW that if you start with the loose end on the outside of the ball, the thing bounces all over the place as you move along on your project. This is ingenious! Now I don’t have to dig in the rat’s nest of yarn to find the end inside. Place the yarn onto the spindle, and you can begin with the loose end because you now have your ball of yarn secured in place that will turn as you go. No more bouncing and chasing the ball of yarn around as you work. Crochet hooks are a fabulous bonus! Yay!

I love this product. The only problem I encountered is that it isn’t extremely durable. My cat plopped against it while I had it on the couch and one side broke. Just treat as fragile and you will be fine.

While I don't crochet really big projects, this yarn holder has been perfect for my smaller projects. Even some of my medium sized ones. I mention that because of the size of this thing has been perfect to hold the amount of yarn that I do use. I wouldn't use this to hold some of the more bigger bundles or the extra thick ones either. However, the yarn I use and the amount, this thing is absolutely perfect. When this arrived, I wasn't sure if it was going to be stable enough but to my surprise, its a lot more stable and sturdy, especially while I'm crocheting. I personally kept the box to help store it away and this thing is so easy to put together and take apart that I really don't mind doing so when I'm not using it. Beautifully crafted and so glad I decided to get this for myself.

I have a single version of this from a different manufacturer, but I do a lot of colorwork so I was excited to add this double holder to my supplies. First, it is not very sturdy. When loaded with 2 balls and is in use, the whole unit wobbles around and almost tips over sometimes. Also, the 2 arms are not stained the same color. Finally, I was ultimately able to assemble this, but I struggled to get both arms attached. One of the holes wasn't drilled properly. It's a nice concept, and I'll probably use it when I'm using small balls (such as a 50gr skein of Scheepjes Catona), but it's not as nice as my sturdy single so I can't give it 5 stars or even consider it a good value for the money.

I had high hopes for this yarn holder. It was packaged surprisingly well and had clear, simple assembly instructions. Unfortunately, the screw hole in one of the arms was too off center to even be able to attach it (see picture). I went ahead and fully assembled just the one side and tried it out. The magnet is strong enough to withstand tugging on the yarn cake, but because the bottom of the holder is smooth, the entire holder will slide across a tabletop if the yarn is pulled too hard. This could be a fairly easy solution of adding small rubber feet to the bottom piece. Sadly I am not able to use this product at all. However, the set of crochet hooks that came with the holder are decent quality, so I am happy to add them to my collection.

My daughter learned how to crochet, and I got her this for her birthday. It's a nice set to hold the yarn without it getting tangled, and the yarn sticks are removable. They're held up with very strong magnets. It also comes with a whole set of crochet hooks, which was worth it on its own! It comes in its own box, which is perfect for gift giving.
