iPower High pressure sodium or HPS grow lights emit a strong, warm white light that helps to stimulate plant and flower growth.
The Kelvin color temperature of these bulbs can range from 2100K to 3000K with multiple wattage options. High pressure sodium grow lights emit a lot of red spectrum light which is better suited for the flowering stage. They also emit a higher than average amount of blue spectrum light which is beneficial during the growth cycle of plants. They are not well suited during vegetative growth, since plants typically need the crisp white wavelengths of metal halide grow lights. For this reason, many indoor growers switch their lights as needed.
iPower HPS grow lights tend to be much more efficient than other alternatives and have a longer life span, saving you money on energy bills and replacements. Although they are about 30 percent more efficient than incandescent, much of the power consumed by an HPS lamp is lost as heat. Because these lamps do put out a lot of heat, it's important to keep them about 12 to 18 inches away from the plant. Anything closer than that will start to burn most plants. The heat generation may be an issue in warmer climates or the summer months, but it can help mitigate the cold in the winter or colder climates.

I purchased 12 HPS bulbs and did not need them all right away. One was broken on the inside of the bulb, and its been over the return date by a couple of weeks, so I am hopeful I can get a credit for the broken bulb. I do plan to purchase more. Good product.

I ordered 12 bulbs and 10 are still lit up 3 days later. One of them failed without any vida el damage (except some discoloration of the white rod thing) and the other has a crack in it and the white rod is loose and rolling around inside.I will update this review when and if more bulbs fail.

Worst bulbs ever. The first time i got them i got 8 and they were all perfect. The second time, 2 of 4 didnt light beyond a blue spark down middle. 6 replacements were sent out and the first two of them i tried went on and off randomly. I replaced them with 2 more out of the six and im almost put of time to complete the return. My fingers are crossed ill finish this crop without further incident.

I usually don't have the best of luck buying bulbs online but I scored with these. I have bought single bulbs online up and down both ends of the quality scale for the last 4 years and they are usually 50/50 hit or miss if they are going to work or not. Either they arrived damaged from shipping or just arrived damaged in their box for some weird reason somehow. Sometimes they will work for a few days then its lights out for one reason or another, and like I said i only end up getting a bulb that lasts about half the time. So it was quite a relief that all six of these turned out to be fully functional and they've been going for a couple weeks now so im very optomistic because they would have normally konked out by now if that's what they were gonna do. I didn't even think about what a hastle it was gonna be if something happened like 1 of the 6 didn't work and if i was gonna have to return all 6 or what. Luckely that wasn't the case. I see they dropped the price now about 18 bucks from when i ordered. That kinda eurks my nerves a bit but im not going to take that out on the product in my review. Its not the products fault. I didn't dock it a star, i just don't go around handing out 5 stars to products for mearly doing their job. For me to give 5 stars the product must exceed my expectations by going above and beyond. That's the way it should be right? So consider this an excellent review. Id recommend buying this six pack and i will be buying them again in about 6 months myself.

I have been using these lights for years now, and have not (knock on wood), had any of them be used bulbs sold as new, or stop working/break during use. I have gotten a couple that were damaged from shipping or a bit of poor quality control from the manufacturer (to be expected with most things nowadays)... But Amazon is great about taking care of that, and it's been a tiny percentage of what I have gotten. Just make sure you open the boxes and inspect them right away, so if there a problem, it's not a surprise.

If you are on the fence about trying ipower bulbs, you should just do it. I have checked the output on my 1000's and it's as good as that overpriced brand, at one third of the cost. Plus, there are many selling used hordel*x bulbs as new here and on ebay. If you try ipower, I'm sure you won't regret it.I have been using ipower stuff for over a year and will never use hordel*x again. This most recent purchase of mine was a six pack of 1000.s and I was quite surprised to find two of the six would not fire. On Wednesday Aug 3, I contacted the company about this- today, Fri Aug 6th I had the new replacement bulbs on my doorstep! Try that with any other company. Ipower has another customer for life!

I like the bulbs but out of the 6- 2 were not fictional. One had somehow broke the glass on the inside and would not fire, and the other one just would not ignite. Unfortunately I am bad at online returns so if there was an easy way to return for new bulbs I would deff change my rating to 5 stars

Got a six pack, tested 3 and all 3 work just fine and are very bright. Yield increases are in order. Don't be scammed by used hortilux bulbs. Check these out. You won't be disappointed. My go to bulbs for 3 years now.
