I was looking for an affordable solution to keeping my bladder water cool in the Texas summers while mountain biking. I bought two of these, one for me and one for my partner, and this is a game changer for exercising in the summer heat. It keeps my water cool for hours. I load up my bladder with ice and water, and after 3 hours of mtn biking the water is still cool. It is a great product. I will be buying this again in the future.

Wanted a hydration pack as I live in Southern Florida 365 and bicycle quite a bit, but didn't want to spend $$$ for the brand name. Ended up with the Sharkmouth Insulated last year. The pack is good except the insulation wasn't cutting it here in FL. I decided to try a dedicated insulated bag. From reading the reviews I wasn't sure this would fit my pack, plus many complaints about no hole for the tube and no spot to hang the bag inside the pack.Neither of the complaints made any sense to me. At least with my 2.5 L bag, it's quite easy to just route the tube out of the top of the bag before vecroing it closed. The bag with a full bladder fits in the Sharkmouth snugly, but not overly tight, so even if this unit had hanging holes I wouldn't have needed them as the pack held everything nicely.I make 12 oz ice cubes from plastic drink cups, so I loaded one in, filled the bladder with chilled water and set up the bag and pack. Went on my bike (85 degrees today) for about a three hour ride. The water stayed chilled and was refreshing (of course even though I have an insulated tube, it never keeps the water cold, so I end up spitting out the first couple of ounces when taking a drink - next on my list is to look for better insulator for the hose). After getting home I did not empty the bag for an additional two hours, and while my big ice cube was melted, the water was still chilled when I took a couple of swigs. Certainly much better than what was supposed to be an insulated hydration pack. All in all I recommend this bag. Don't overthink the hose routing or the bag hanging.

I got this bag to protect a 3L water bladder while in another backpack, AND to also be able to use the bladder as a weight to hook from the bottom of my tripod. This bag has a nice loop on the top that hooks to my tripod nicely. But I may also use this to transport cold water bottles, food, drinks in my larger backpack. This padded cooler bag is very nice quality. I don't know if it's that cordura ballistic nylon fabric, but it has that feel to it. nice hook & loop velcro closes well like one of my lens bags. Really nice purchase and I'll probably pick up another and check out what else they make. Very versatile and totally recommended.

The insulated bag is great. I used it during a fitness challenge where I had to use a weighted pack. The bag protected the water bladder and kept the water cool. The plastic clips to link the hose to the pack broke within the hour. Also, the free gaiter was nice.

We got two and they worked wonderfully at the beach in Cancun to keep water cold despite the heat. The only reason I did not rate this product 5 stars was also mentioned in another review - a notch in the side of the lid or at the top edge of the sleeve to allow the flap to close completely around the drink tube would be a helpful design change, but non complaints otherwise. And, they pack nice and flat and are way lighter than trying to transport a large, hard sided thermos.

I purchased this because I needed a way to make up for my new backpack not having a thermal lined hydration reservoir pocket. My backpack has a loop hook for a bladder, but doesn't actually have an ideal "pocket" for it.I was happy to have this bag with me during my recent camping trip as it definitely kept my water cool, but there is a slight downside to this bag that I think fixing would make it absolutely perfect. The bag itself has no "exit hole" for the reservoir hose. This isn't the worst thing in the world, but it does mean that, when trying to place this bag into a backpack, you have to leave the top of the insulator bag open, or try to run the hose out of the top edges of the bag at the sides. That poses as an issue due to the hose getting a kink in it and blocking water flow.I would think that adding a sewn hole for a reservoir tube to run though would be a good idea as it would save the trouble that. Also, possibly shortening the handle length would be beneficial for folks that have a loop or hook in their backpack for securing their hydration reservoir as the current length of the handle is rather long. It makes the bag drop a little lower than what would be good considering the length of the reservoir tube being pulled back down some.Outside of all of that, possibly making the bag slightly larger for 3L hydration bladders would be good. It's a pretty tight fit when mine was full.I definitely would recommend grabbing this though if you're okay with the current way they're made, but otherwise, I would say that it might be good to account for the, albeit not major, issues I mentioned.

Bought this to use on the backside of the seat on my fishing kayak with a 2 liter bladder I purchased as well. Works perfectly for the use I have for it. Keeps the bladder protected and water cool (not frosty cold....it's not heavily insulated) for several hours and that's really all I needed from it. For that alone it's worth all 5 stars. The seller sent me an email the date it arrived to let me know they want to stand behind their product and if I ever have an issue to email them. This product seems well made and sewn together well. Doubtful I'll ever need to use the warranty given my use, but it's nice to know it's available if a need arises.
