I didn't use this for a trunk or mirror mount. Instead, I was looking for something that I can attach to one of the main beams on my deck. I then hid the antenna wired by using hammer staples under the deck and through a drilled hole into my basement, then through to the desired location in my home. This was for my NMO 2M/440 rig - which I like to monitor during the day on occasion. I put it up at least two years ago (maybe more) and it has gone through 60 MPH winds, rain, ice and a few snow storms. I've had nothing but good experiences with it. No rust, corrosion, peeling or bending. I'm very happy with this product!

The bracket provided works fine in my car, not sharp as other people claim, durable enough for me. The coax however isnt great, i experienced a loss compared to my handhelds bigger antenna but it works fine if you arent trying to squeeze every last bit of distance out of it

I bought this to install a 800mhz antenna outside of my office window. Screwed it to the outside, threaded an 800mhz low profile antenna on it and works just fine. Not ideal but its a radio i transmit on maybe once a month for 5 seconds.
