The OEM bite valve had a loose rubber piece which fell off while riding my motorcycle.This one's bite piece is not loose, and won't detach.Also like the elbow shape vs. the OEM straight shape, which makes it more convenient to use while riding with a helmet.

The slit in this valve looks like it's literally cut by hand with a knife. It looks like it wouldn't work well and if it did it would likely leak. However, the end was too big for my tube bc it's 0.38 inches in diameter compared to the 0.31 advertised, so I couldn't fully test it out.

This is exactly what I wanted for my hydration bladder. I disliked the bite valve that came with my bladder. It was working perfectly fine for the first week, but then it started to drip when not in use. Even if I switch the valve off and put the cap on I found that it was still dripping water. It could have just been a fluke or something I did. Overall I’m happy with it and just am careful about the position of the mouthpiece when not in use.

I bought a 25' clear length of hose and these replacement adapters because the original that came with the Giraffe was blue and had a terrible taste that interferred with my liquids. All I had to do was run hot water on the end of the hose and adapter and they went together easily. There is no leaking. I have 2 drinking systems so this 2-piece set worked perfect. I bought extra bite valves and can replace the hose and bite valves every month. They have held up very well and are easy to clean and change. You can easily control the direction and on&off switch.

It’s a little big ,but seals well doesn’t leak .Does fit camelback hose ,but you have to put hose in hot water for a bit for it to soften up.

Fits my bag perfectly and is a great high quality replacement to my old one. I love the quick detach for cleaning and it is really useful to be able to shut of the water flow. These should serve me for some time to come.
