Hex Shank Flaring Drill Bit Set

Designed to work with 3-jaw power drills or screwdrivers, with a minimum of 1,800 RPM and 500 watts, for corded drills, or superior and 1,800RPM and 18V, or superior, for cordless drills.

Finish the Flaring in Seconds

FASTEN the Flaring SPIN Tool

Fasten the flaring drill bit into the drill chuck. Ensure it’s on tight. Firmly hold the tube at all times. Use your other hand if needed. Important: Use rotary mode only. Hammer/impact mode will damage the tube.

INSERT the Flaring SPIN

Please keep the drill at maximum speed at all times. Align the tube and drill. Insert the flaring drill bit. Maintain constant pressure throughout the process until the tool stopper has met with the tube.

PULL OUT the Flaring SPIN

Pull out the flaring drill bit from the tube. NOTICE: The flaring process is an “in-and-out” sequel that is approximately 5 to 7 seconds.

The 5PC flaring drill bits are an innovative toolset, which provides a high-temperature, leakage-free flaring method, designed for the most common tubing diameters in HVAC systems.

The high-temperature method preserves the copper's/aluminum's malleability while performing the flare, preventing cracks and leaks. The tools were developed and are recommended for soft copper.

The drill bit set makes flares with the ideal dimensions for a perfect packing, due to a wider area of contact between the flare surface and the valve/tube accessory.

To top that, you can make flares with the bits in just 5 seconds!

To perform the flaring in copper/aluminum tubing, simply attach the corresponding tool size to a drill. Because they perform their job using high temperature and friction, no clamping tools or holders are necessary.

In addition, the bits are equipped with a 1/4 inch hex shank, which allows quick release and will largely improve your work efficiency.

It's nice having one tool to swage pipe. If you're just getting started, go slow and put a piece of tape on where to stop if you're doing all the same size tubing.

I needed these 20 years ago they flare a copper perfectly from your drill. Sure beats the heck out of a old flare and block. Don’t hesitate to buy.

These do not make a reliable flare. The flare is too small and the angle is no where near what it should be. If the tubing is not completely straight, it will deform the tubing.

They work just seem to have cheap coating on them.

For the money it really doesn’t get any better. My father purchased another kind of flaring tool and had to return it due to poor quality, that is not the case here. These are great. I had a set when I was a technician in the field and needed these in order to install some mini split systems and could not be more happy with this set. Very easy to use and built well. I don’t think you can get such a good product for the money.

I tried one of the clamp style flaring tools but it didn't work well on the smaller copper tubes. These worked very well on my A/C install, particularly the 1/4" one. TIP: get some scrap and practice about 6 to 10 times. This not only burns off the power coating and polishes up the bit giving you a better flare, it also means that by the time you do the flare that counts you have more experience.
