I have always liked the way that Candice Olson designs rooms and have several of her books . I miss her on HGTV and that "era" of home decorating shows. The book was just about what I expected.

I have been a fan of Candice Olson for quite some time. I was able to learn what colors and patterns and textures that work best together. It allows me to pull together the best look for clients....HOBBY!!!!

Candice has a way of making the challenging task of transforming our homes so effortless. She simplifies the process for herself and others as she shares her triumphs with us. She coaches us on how to make great decisions and things to look out throughout the entire book that will help our projects.

The designs in this book are creative and attractive. However, it's mostly basements. Also, the TVs in many of the rooms are not flat screens. The book has a companion website that lists each item in the book and where you can buy them. This is great idea. I was interested in a fireplace, but when I tried the link for it, the page was not found.

Anything Candice designs or gives information about design I want. I keep these books and enjoy them over and over. I wish her show was still on tv. It was my favorite and I can't believe they took it off. I hope she continues providing her presence with the general public. I am too far away from her home base to use her services. Thanks

Every room Candice designs is beautiful and I really appreciate the color swatch boards included for each design. Wish her paint color names were listed, but still extremely helpful for matching. I also believe she has a website where room colors can be found. Rooms are elegant and designed for great use by a family. Most are casual and kid friendly, others more for grown ups. I find tips from every design that can be duplicated in my own home right away... from furniture arrangements, paint colors, fabric changes, and accessory ideas. Before and after photos included, along with her finished sketches. I like how flaws before are revealed along with how they magically disappear from her use of draperies or mirrors, etc. Most rooms include a desk, office area, or craft work area which families want today! This book is a must for a do it yourselfer and professional designers. Book publisher does a beautiful job with design and style of it also. Nice large, softcover book. Perfect accessory for a coffee table or bookshelf in the family room. I'm waiting for her book on bedrooms to arrive any day now! Can't wait! Hope you get this book and enjoy as much as I do!
