The front bumper overall is made of strong nylon or some type of durable plastic and attaches to the RC model in two locations by four screws, two on the top, two on the bottom. The biggest problem with the bumper is the very thin, 2MM bottom plate that slides under the aluminum chassis and attaches at the bottom. Although the bumper fairs well when coming into contact with objects head on, any deviation, even at slow speeds from a head on angle will snap the bottom plate off rendering an otherwise stout bumper useless. I attached a picture of the bumper and the piece that broke off as well as a new bumper with the bottom plate attached for reference. It is worth noting that the same type of 2mm thin plastic is used to secure the back bumper as well.

Perfect fit for my RC wish I could find it in metal though because the small spot that connects to the frame is very weak and breaks easily
