Boresnakes make cleaning barrels very easy and fast. I like how the Hoppes brand ones have smaller metal bristles imbedded into the cord unlike some other brands. I feel like it does help with excessive grime.

Bore snakes simplify basic cleaning. I run this, with a little CLP, through the bore, after each range session. Not a deep cleaning tool, but clears out a lot of carbon/copper build up in the barrel. Follow with a couple of dry patches. Quick. Easy. Small package. Every range bag should have 1 for each caliber.

This is very easy to use and it cleans very well. This is the original boresnake and it is so much better than any of the cheap knockoffs out there. It's great for doing a quick clean, if you just want to clean the Barrel in the chamber and not disassemble everything.

I have 4 of these. One for range bag, One for minute man rig, one for hunting gear, one for home use. Greatest way to clean barrel of a firearm. I squirt some G96 on front end of it. Cleans up barrel fantastic. Bought one to use for every caliber I own. Used these for years and not had one fail me yet.
