If you have allergies and use a bag vacuum, these type are a must. They are hepa bags which keeps almost all the allergens from re entering your environment. Why vacuum if the minute particles blow back into the air? I also love these because I still use a bagged vacuum. What's the sense of using a bagless if I have to breath the stuff back in when I empty the canister? These bags are a little pricey , but I think they are worth it.Also they are getting harder to find so I'm glad amazon still has them.

I love these bags. My vacuum with these bags happen to be the most efficient and dust free vacuuming experience I had yet. I check the edges and cracks around all filter housings and cannot find dust escaping anywhere. Very efficient. The hepa bag system is superior. I used to use canister style vacuums but everyone of them had dust escaping somewhere. Paid a hundred dollars more for a canister vacuum compared to bagged unit and I'm left with a lot of extra dust. Rediculous. Bagged units are the way to go.

I have two dogs, so a good vacuum cleaner bag is a must. This one works great, and the HEPA filter is an added touch. It is more expensive than non-HEPA bags, but I think the filter makes it worth the cost. Anyone dealing with pet hair and dander will know what I mean.

hello, having used many types and brands of vacuum bags for the countless vacuums over the years, it is the quality that counts. some bags look the same and actually feel the same, but the quality in the construction shows. the no name brands are significantly less expensive, but there is something to be said about something built with great parts and is put together well. we have used bags only to have them rip upon removal. sometimes upon installation. the suction hole sometimes fit well and other time, just slips on, creating a bevy of dust parts flying. this hoover factory hepa filter bag is quality in the parts, texture, and fit in the tall vacuum. the suction opening has a flexible o ring to slide over the pipe and creates a perfect tight fit. no leakage there. the rest of the bag just fit into the corners like it was supposed to fit from the factory. hoover wins on quality points on this product. excellent product and great delivery.

Although having the look & feel of the original bag, this one seems to have somewhat better airflow to allow increased suction. Because this extra suction sorta grabs hold of the floor, for the first time in years I've 'considered' using the self-propel feature in a couple of the rooms. Also, if there's anyone who actually counts on the "check bag indicator" on the front of the vacuum - it is a little more sensitive now, so perhaps less useful.

These bags are excellent and well worth the $6-$7 for a pair. Here is my take on why you would, or even should, spend more for these than you would for paper bags...[A] You want to really, truly cut down on the dust in your house. There is no comparison between the HEPA performance of these bags vs. any of the paper bags I have used in the past. And that means the dust you vacuum up stays in the vacuum, instead of flying back into the air.[B] You have a major, dusty / particulate type mess on your hands - or you typically have lots of dust, particulates and/or animal hair in your house. These bags are excellent for heavy duty jobs both in terms of performance and capacity.[C] You have allergies. Particularly if you are allergic to dust or your pets' dander, or whatever else that might be gathering on your floors.[D] You want to make the most of your vacuum cleaner. I don't know anything about the inner workings of vacuum cleaners, but it sure seems like these bags make my vacuum work better, i.e. more suction. The only guess I have is that these bags may allow better airflow during operation. One additional note on purchasing. I bought these bags from Todays Concepts. Their price is competitive, the shipping is at no extra charge and delivery was prompt.

These bags are much better than the older Hoover brand bags made from 3M Filtrete material, like shown on this product page: These bags are still HEPA, but they are pleated, so they are easier to fit into my upright vacuum. The older bags were flat and the edges had to be stuffed and tucked into the vacuum cleaner to make the bag fit. These bags are the correct width. The opening on these bags is still made out of cardboard, but there is a flexible rubber-like material covering part of the opening. The older bags had just the wide open hole, and when you pulled the bag out, a lot of dust and dirt would fall out if the bag was full. I always wondered why they didn't put a rubber lining across the opening like other manufacturers do, and I think this will help keep the dust and dirt inside the bag. It should also create a better seal between the bag and the vacuum.Several reviewers complained about receiving filters that weren't the Hoover brand as shown on the product page. Mine were exactly as shown. There are other vendors selling these bags, but mine were sold by GoVacuum.
