This is a really great generic bag. It works well with my old Oreck. It is a bit smaller than the original, but the material is strong, soft, and durable. It even has pockets in the back! If you need a new bag and want to save some money, this is great. When installing with an Oreck vacuum, remember to keep the rubber clamp on the bottom. It is needed hook the bag to the machine. It’s very easy to remove and reinstall onto the new one. If you can’t keep the clamp for whatever reason, then you will have to buy a new one, as it’s not included. This is a great bag and helped me repair my old vacuum.

I bought this to replace the cloth bag on my now well over 25-year-old Oreck XL vacuum cleaner (model U3700HH). The bag material is good quality, I found it to be the same as the OEM bag. The heavy-duty zipper, quality of construction, and stitching, I again found to be identical to the OEM bag it replaced. And the fit was exact. Having now examined, installed, and used this product, I’m unable to find even a minor item to make note of. I wouldn’t see what spending over $25 more for the OEM product would buy me that this product doesn’t have.There are many comments on regarding the lack of instructions. But don’t blame this bag manufacture. No instructions are provided because there are none. I found no instructions on the Oreck website nor are there any in the user manual. For reasons I cannot understand, Oreck decided not to publish any cloth bag replacement instructions. Other postings provide replacement instructions, so I won’t duplicate those here. I will remind you to remove the white plastic clip on the bottom of your old bag and re-install it on your new one (the clip unsnaps easily with a gentle twist of a screwdriver blade on the edges). Then attach the metal spring on the back of the vacuum in the slot on the clip as shown in the photos. (Note: the OEM cloth bag doesn't come with a plastic clip either. You are expected to reuse the plastic clip from your old bag.)Now a vacuum as good as new, set for another 25 years perhaps.

This says it will fit any XL except for a few mentioned, but that is not totally true. We have a Platinum and while this fits, we had to put it inside our regular bag and make some minor adjustments to get it to work. For the price it is good and does its job, but it did not fit like I expected it to fit.I would not hesitate to buy this, but don't throw away your original out bag because you may need it to put around this bag to make sure everything attaches back together properly.

This is a little smaller than the Oreck XL-2 outer bag that came with the cleaner and doesn't include the interior frame, but is a very suitable replacement that is well-constructed and fits properly into the mountings and holds the appropriate size filter/inner bag.I gave it five stars because it is a universal replacement for this series of Oreck vacuum--if you're an individual who owns an Oreck or a hotel/facility manager who has dozens I'd recommend using this as a low-cost replacement to the branded outer bags.There is a rigid plastic card sewn-in around the mounting hole that helps the bag attach properly to the vacuum and holes are pre-cut into the bottom of the bag where it seats into the mounting clip. Seams are properly sewn with low-profile black piping and it has an extra filter bag pocket on the rear--just as the original bag does.The process of removing the old outer bag and replacing it with this one took me about 12 minutes--I completed the process in my living room over some newspaper to contain any stray dust and the only tool needed was a flat-head screwdriver (a narrow butter knife or small key would do just fine too) to help open the clip at the bottom of the old outer back to replace onto the new one. There are no instructions included, but once you've removed the mounting hole and clip from the old outer bag, it's all quite self-evident.
