I don't know that this would be all that great for a camping pad, or really anything where this is the only thing between you and a hard surface. However, if you are looking for something to add a little extra cush (like if you're sleeping on the sofa for a couple of nights, or want extra padding on a pull-out bed), this is great. I haven't actually taken it camping, but it's so thin, and even just laying it on the floor in my house to try it out, I wouldn't recommend it. For the price and size, though, this is a nice additional comfort to have on hand for other uses.

It’s good for use one night maybe two but not for anything long term. And it’s just wide enough for one person.

nice pad for camping cot. worked great on cot. I also put a blanket over the pad to make it more comfortable for my granddaughter on the cot. the medal bars on the cot are hard so blanket over them soften them. the pad is firmer than the other pads I looked at. would buy again.

Absolutely not 2” thick. Very little feel of padding, almost nonexistent once you are lying on it.

My recliner is getting old and worn so I've been using this cause I fall asleep there sometimes and it adds some padding and doesn't fall off. It's not super thick but noticeable enough to help.

I wanted a mat that wasn't too big, but one that could be used if one of our kids had other kids sleepover. Yes, I have a blowup mattress, but sometimes we have an unexpected additional guest -- so, I wanted an option so they would not have to sleep on the floor. This mat fits that objective. It easily folds up and can fit under a bed. When I pull it out, it is a nice single bed size. I will say, it's not very thick -- but it is comfortable enough for a night or two -- and far better than just sleeping on a floor! Also, it's got a rubber finish on one side so it stays where you "rest" it -- and the other side is a nice velvet-ish fabric. If you want a good standby sleep choice for extra guests, this is a good option.
