The metal gears are so good, I used to always shred spurs. ⚠️ MAKE SURE ⚠️ to get a dialed-in slipper though, if not you could really destroy something in your moving parts, cuz I doubt these gears will EVER break. :D

Works well, good quality machining. Replaced because I melted my stock slipper clutch. Only issue is that it is extremely loud. Other than that it's good. But I'll be switching back to a plastic gear and a slipper delete kit. TRX4 Bronco

Checking back after two years of having this installed on my TRX-4 with the H-Tech Bronco Raptor conversion, which added a decent chunk of weight to the body from all the additional aluminum parts. I upgraded the center driveshafts with MIP to handle the additional weight/whiplash from the more powerful HW Axe R2 3300kv motor. This was the reason why I had upgraded the plastic spur gear because otherwise, it would probably get shredded, but this comes at a cost. The transmission is very noisy and kind of annoying when you’re just going out for a trail walk. I’m actually thinking of putting the stock spur gear back on.

When you only want to buy one gear Fits TRX4 super durable great value I don't think you could ever damage it at a normal TRX4 motor speed

This is my wifes acount. She wanted her Redcat Gen 8 to be a little slower and easier to control. It was shocking how much better these made the Scout! We have since, added a lot of brass and new wheels and tires, but to date the lower gearing has made the most difference. Gearing down was my first instinct. After using it and researching different motors the 11/45 seems like the cheapest most bang for your buck upgrade. A famous RCer says to volt up and gear down. So far we have only geared down and don't feel a need to volt up or go to to higher turn motor or go brushless!
