Well built, actually surfs. Just holding it you can tell it’s a level or two above a Costco and many other similarly priced boards. I’d say better than catchsurf too and cheaper by about $50 at least. Took it out about an hour after receiving it and caught 5 or 6 waves. Paddles like a longboard, turns surprisingly well and goes fast for a softy. Surface is non-slip and seems durable. Perfect beginner or fun beater.

Great for my 6 and 10 year old for beginner surfing. Was looking to use a paddle board too but it can old take on the kids - size is smaller

I'm local to San Diego, so actually visited their store in Pacific Beach to take a look at their boards before purchase. Stevie's wife helped answer questions at the store. I loved that this board has a beginner friendly soft top, a nice grippy surface, the stiffness of an epoxy/fiberglass board, and increased volume due to the foam core. Well designed hybrid, and I'm sure this will bring many years of fun as I continue my learning journey. Highly recommended for a great board to grow into. I may have to pick up the 8' as well.
